That's some mad tings just like you said Nigerians aren't even complaining that's 🔥🔥
Ikr!!!!
@Kenzy Vidalo First off they aren't K-Pop artists, Penomeco is a rapper and RnB-singer while YDG is also a rapper. I know if something is Korean it's considered Kpop most of the time, but both are active in K-Hiphop industry: Two different pairs of shoes :). And Peno said that he was inspired by WizKid himself, now I'm not African so I'm nobody to tell if this is appropriation or appreciation, but I imo this is 100% meant to be appreciation.
Apparently he had a Nigerian teach him how to pronounce some of the words.
Oh wow! Now thats some dedication to the craft!!
Is good me too i like to learn other languages it's really make sense
I love this like mad. It's actually a way to appreciate the Afrobeat nd our language. Love the songggggg!!! Love u penomeco! I will love to attend ur concert one-day, am praying that I will have such funds😃
He stole wizkid lyrics
@@almiraflairdo you know what references is in music? Everyone does it but when it is this artist, you guys act like it is a new thang.
1:48 both their jaws DROPPED when they heard PENOMECO’s voice HAHAHA
THIS SONG IS WAY TOO UNDERRATED!! Thank you for reacting on it 🙌🏼🤍
I love penomeco, and i love afrobeat, but never in my dream to see em together, thanks for the reaction!
I love to see Nigerians enjoying it too ❤️ Afrobeat is huge globally already but will grow even bigger when collaborating w Korean music industry considering its impact in Asia
That's the truth, I just love to see this honestly, he did so well.
He has another afrobeat song called Penomeco SHY mv and he is greatly inspired by Burna boy.
African Americans were calling Nigerians coons on twitter cos some said they liked it lmaooo
They want us to be fighting the man like nobody knows afrobeat originated from Nigeria abeg abeg abeg
I swear! They shuuu gettattttt LOL!
@@quinsan you know when person don too dey comfortable d only thing e go know na to find trouble so not to be bored but we 9ja's no get Time, hustling don take 90% so I no fit shout, as long as d guy gives credit to d founder then no probs
@@Didi-ov8jz get over yourself already.. stop being dramatic, no one can do Afro beat like Africans but appreciate those who try and execute it well. No need for this unnecessary division between us people!🙄
@@Didi-ov8jz nah we are not extreme Kpop stans.. we are just people who appreciate good music irrespective of the size, shape or form it comes from. Perhaps you should be more open-minded. It will do you good💜😁
@@Didi-ov8jz Deleted your comment? Nah, we sure didn't.. but please ease your mind, ignore the media trying to divide us as people. At the end of the day, we are all humans and we should not be scared to do what we love because it apparently isn't "your culture"..
Yay!! I’m glad you love it. PENOMECO loves to play with different genres and I’m happy you enjoyed his songs. He was inspired by Afrobeats and incorporated it in a few songs. Thank you for reacting!!
He’s actually good
That penoneco guy ♥️♥️
I swear, I love the song so much I looked up a bunch of Afrobeats artists including Burna Boy & Wizkid. I now have a few songs on a playlist thanks to Penomeco & YDG (YDG is a legendary old-time rapper in Korea). Thank you for your great reaction and especially for the title!
You see? This is why I have a problem with I have a problem with the song. You didn't know of the existence of Afrobeats before him now you're thanking him for bringing the sound to you. Do you see how it sounds if an African artist introduced you to kpop even if there are numerous kpop idols?
@@sleek4546 Umm, I'd be like THANK YOU for opening up a whole new genre of music, 😂. By your logic, only Korean artists can introduce Kpop and African artists can introduce Afrobeat to people.
That sure sounds like gatekeeping to me and it is stupid as hell.
@@koomaappa75 you know what sounds stupid as hell? A Nigerian telling you their opinion and you saying it's stupid. You ppl ignore the fact that black ppl can't be in kpop yet you're celebrating him for doing Afrobeats. Why can't I also gatekeep it huh? What IS so wrong with gatekeeping?
@@sleek4546 What a victim's complex you have. I don't care if you're Nigerian or Indonesian or whatever. Gatekeeping sucks and it's hilarious you're defending it.
@@koomaappa75 I'm gatekeeping because
1) the amount of anti-black sentiments in Korea yet they want to also do Afrobeats now? Exhibit a, he is a k-hipop artist yet he isn't speaking out against current racism in Korea.
2)kpop is their soft power making them billions of won yet black people can't be in kpop( fatou is still being bullied for being black and in kpop even kaachi too are still receiving hate) and now us black people haven't even seen the fruits of their labor. Kpop is their soft power yet Afrobeats can't be our soft power?
3) Koreans are already calling it "experimental hip-hop" whatever that means and not Afrobeats. THIS is one of my points. Imagine I say kpop is "experimental pop" how would they feel?
Yeah Nigeria is not a jealous country and people like others country! bcus this Korean respect us on using Nigeria style and our afro we support u fully.
Mad vibes 🔥❤️🇰🇷🇳🇬.
You know the vibessssss
You guys really deserve my subscription...I loved your reaction and stuff especially the fact that you were like, “oh oh ooh oh” 😂....the guy really tried with the song and he deserves more recognition on it! Hope the song spreads far and wide
Thanks for subbing! The song was genuinely so good!
Asin ehh. Ask d haters o. Who carry culture for head like its giving dem money. He is not even entitled to give credit to anyone becos he used afro beat. Its just a beat. Who cares if he uses afro beats or language. Its clear he exploring n he loves d culture . And has ppl dat inspires him from the afro world. Some ppl on tiktok are just so annoying .Patoranking puts jamican vibes to his songs . Ery artist like to experiment n explore. This dude is one of them. They should leave him alone. And enjoy d song. I bless the day i discovered this dude on tiktok.
No, he has to give credit, otherwise it will be cultural appropriation, and not appreciation.
The world music is center on the American culture and the African culture. For penomeco to go far he has embrace either American culture or African c culture.
Thunder fire your mouth there. So, you are not proud of your culture abi? Try to audition to be a kpop idol first and tell me wetin go jam you there. When he becomes the face of Afrobeats in Asia while BTS is still the face of kpop na there you go see wahala.
@@sleek4546 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That bcos patoranking actually stayed in Jamaica for sometime
Totally agree with u guys, there is nothing bad on mixing cultures, the example of how good it is, is this masterpiece xdd
Penomeco is a hidden gem of Korea. Bro is always low-key chillin and then comes out with actual bangers. Bro been so good and still underrated 💯. Real music artist type shi
He should feature burna boy
No cappp!!!
He credits BurnaBoy for his music and WizKid
Bolo mean fool
Don’t act like a bolo (fool)
Exactly. Just didn’t want to be that crude with it😂😂😂
Man your guys vibes I fucking loved it
A reaction to Penomeco Shy (eh o) would go hard too, it’s kind of the same concept as this
Man knows how to deliver a vibe
Cool I've been listening to him for a minute and he's very inspired by afro music and culture in general. And most of his music is afrobeat inspired.
I love your vibes guys.... I'm so happy to have stumbled across your page... Keep doing you guys
Big! Penomeco!! his music is awesome! big support!
This video is so wholesome lol
No, you are so wholesome! Thank you..
4:38 I'm not Igbo(I'm Yoruba) but the way he pronounced it😳. This song iss so gd I don't know why people be hating on it
I was vibin heavyyyyy🎉🎉🎉 that shit good
Y’all are genuinely funny loved it :))))
sick reaction
I love the song so much ♥️♥️♥️♥️it’s so nice o and we Nigerians are not complaining
Thank you for your opinions and reactions. I love afrobeat
There's a new one now....Khoway ft iceprince "PADO" very interesting 🔥🔥🔥please react
Please react to SHY EO BY PENOMECO, ITS MY FAVORITE SONG WITH ANOTHER AFROBEAT SOUNF
🇳🇬 nah it's Naija bolo, they mispronounced 🤣
What's up sis they did a great job ❤️🍷..
You should react to more of kpop songs!!!!!!!
We have a separate channel for Kpop reactions actually.
love this
What's a BOLO in Nigerian slang?
Something like someone who isn't smart I guess...
Bolo means to be shy
Didn't he grow up here in Africa I think like 12 years or so
Really??
@@dat_kpop_addict4071 ion really know it might be another Korean guy I researched
This is an insane fusion ❤️🔥❤️🔥
They should Colab with an Afrobeat singer! Would be more fire! Add some fine black girls.
The pronunciation of bolo😂😂 what's your problem
😂😂😂
I hope u guys know what Koreans call his style of music 🤣🤣🤣🤣 DO YOUR RESEARCH MORE !!! They absolutely do not think it’s African one tiny bit
Bruh.. stay in your feelings! It’s not our business bro! We are only reacting to the fact that this was a good execution of Afro beat from a non-African. Whatever!
@@quinsan hahah not my problem 🤣🤣🤦🏽♀️
@@Didi-ov8jz Na you e sing dis song for don't act like bolo
koreans can call it whatever they want but Penomeco doesn't CLAIM afro beats as his, he always reminds people that his inspiration is Afropop and african music and giving proper credit so he is doing nothing wrong if some other koreans decide to stay ignorant then thats not his fault
You should react to shy
Penomeco stole wizkid lyrics and added it as his own even the beat without giving wizkid credit for it
No
Wow I love karma's this is lovely
I really really REALLY LOVE THIS SONG 💗💗💗💗💗
legit fiiiiiiire bro , so underrated so sad.
Bolo is a slang sluggish
Bolo means Spoilt Brat ! Common guys as naija guys una suppose know !
Hahaha but sometimes, you know Bolo can be used in a really rude manner.. Like "mumu"...
@@quinsan That’s true but in this context the babe being a Bolo means she’s a spoilt brat lol
Love the reaction
The reason this is a problem is because, African artist just started getting visibility internationally with Afrobeats and they haven't had their fair share of fame yet, when Kpop became a thing people associated Kpop with exclusively Korean people but we may soon start seeing non Africans being the biggest Afrobeats artist soon and there would be a struggle as to where it originated from, if we are not careful and we think it's okay to have Korean Afrobeats artist instead of having our Nigerian artist being promoted in those places, when we start seeing people like Penomeco getting Grammy awards for Afrobeats categories, we would know the damage we are doing to ourselves...
Let our artists get the visibility they deserve first before others can start jumping on it
Lol wtf? This absolutely make zero sense, I'm sorry... enjoy good music and leave out the sentiments..
@@quinsan it isn't supposed to make sense since you are only looking at it from the perspective of enjoying yourselves but I am talking from the economics and historical point of view...
This was the same nonchalant attitude we had when the Europeans were coming to take out artefacts and now we are pissed off when we see how much they made from those artefacts, our music is our intellectual property...it's our identity, it's our products and if we don't protect it and allow anyone jump on it all in the name of grooving, Afrobeats in Nigeria would soon become history and Our children would be listening to Afrobeats from Koreans, if you don't get it forget it ooo...
Do you know about a time when lyta used a GOT 7 video concept for his music video some time back, people from Korean didn't take it well, mind you he didn't steal their song or genre ooo, it was only music video concept and they didn't receive it well... protect your own oooo if you really appreciate it, or else it would be like film show
Nope! Definitely not reading all of that. Enjoy good music... have a great day/night...
You can keep enjoying good music and leave the politics of the world for those who understand it👌
@@ayooluwaolorunlogbon1150 ok so :
1 Wizkid and Burna Boy already won grammys , so you can relax , no one is stealing their spotlight
2 The GOT7 video was not just inspiration, the whole video concept, frame by frame , was the same , that's called plagiarism, and it has nothing to do with what's going on here .
3. Music is an art , and like all arts , music evolve , mix between cultures , is shared . That how it's meant to be .
So let's stop with the gatekeeping , especially when it concerns music . As long as , like here , credits for inspiration are stated , sharing cultures is a GOOD thing .
THIS FREAKIN VIDEO NEEDS MORE LIKES AND VIEWS lol they are so cute and funny 😂 love their reactions ♥️
Does anyone know what "Bolo" means?
Fool
I liked it until I realized they didn’t get permission to sample that’s not appreciation that’s stealing
How many afrobeat artists tours in Korea, please they don’t like Nigerians or Black, just the music to make a profit. Wake up
Cool assumptions, I mean owing to the fact that you know this guy personally I'm guessing?
Odd Na be you wahala how many people know am 4 here
thats why Penomeco doing this song is a GOOD THING he is introducing the genre to korea, that will make people that didn't listen to african music check it out and be more accepting of it, you really don't know anything
