24:34 I'm quite surprised that Link got thrown back at the perfect length. The other Smash games have made me used to characters getting absolutely deleted at 999%
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that Link, who probably has the worst recovery in the entire Smash Bros series, is the third best character when it comes to boarding the platforms?
Who wants to play break the target and board the platforms in Smash Ultimate for each character as future DLC content? Only me? Anyway, thank you for uploading this video, because board the platforms is one of my favorite bonus game in entire Smash series.
I love that you included TAS in this video, and really like the added graph details (gears for TAS and number of platforms left on a fail)! Great content!
Analysis of the stats: - Absolutely nobody struggles with Mario's, DK's, Link's, Samus', Falcon's, Ness', or Luigi's stage. It's interesting to me that there's no outstanding difficulty with Samus' stage, given how distant some of the platforms are, or Ness', given that it's catered to his unorthodox recovery. - Most of the problem stages only really have one difficult platform. The rest are perfectly reachable for everybody. - Yoshi's only problem platform is one that falls very quickly; characters with a slow fall speed have trouble reaching it. If you can jump high enough, you can snag it on its way out of the wall, so Mario, Luigi, and Jigglypuff can sneak their way to a victory, but Samus is out of luck. - Kirby and Pikachu have absolutely no troubles hitting every platform. This makes sense, since the two of them have the best aerial mobility in the game. - The problem platforms for Fox, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff's stages are all just a single platform that's very far from any other ground. You need to make a very high jump, or in Jigglypuff's case, a very long jump, to reach it. Interestingly, there are characters who can clear one or two of these stages, but not all three, with no simple consensus on which is "harder" then the others. - Kirby's stage is the only one with multiple problem platforms, which makes sense, given that the stage is designed to test the limits of the only character in the game who can fly AND has a usable Up + B recovery move. It's difficult to even access the second half of the stage, which is locked behind a gatekeeper platform that can barely be reached. - Apart from Kirby and Pikachu, the only character who can clear Kirby's stage is Ness. Remarkably, Ness is the only character who can clear Kirby's stage, but cannot clear everyone else's stage. - The worst-performing character in terms of stages cleared is Samus, who struggles with every single problem stage. - The worst-performing character in terms of platforms reaches is a tie between DK and Yoshi, who each fail to meet the gatekeeping platform in Kirby's stage, as well as all three of the major problem stages. They miss a total of 7 platforms each, one more then the 6 Samus misses.
Keep it up. I rarely watch 2h videos on RUclips and you just made my days with your smash the target and board the platforms vids. Thanks a lot, appreciate the effort.
I feel like link could be done at a lower percent so that you don't overshoot the platform and can recover sooner but hey I don't know that for sure lol

Donkey Kong and Yoshi tie for the least amount of platforms boarded with 7 unboarded platforms Samus is the only character who cannot complete Yoshi's BtP and thus is the character with least amount of BtP stages completed. If you do this with the unplayable characters, you should clear the bonus stage high scores between each character (not stage) switch, so that in-game on the character select screen it'll also show you the cumulative time for how long it took you to beat all of the character's stages.
