    IMPROBABLE is Jokic having a +25.9 on/off. Like how tf is that even real.
    Calvin Booth and the Kroenkes should be drawn-and-quartered for crimes against humanity. Denver has a top 10 all time player at his absolute apex and they give him _this_ roster? It's a disgrace to the game of basketball.

    • @leonhardable
      @leonhardable 8 дней назад +3

      yesnt
      people forget that denver is a small market team that somehow has little appeal to free agents.
      the owners arent stingy (denver is in the top 10 payrolls), and the team itself doesnt suck.
      the problem is that (as of right now) murray and MPJ are vastly overpaid - but theyre good players on long term contracts, who were big parts of the championship.
      its not like lillard in portland, where the owners refused to pay luxury tax or anything, and most things you hear about denver management are really positive - sometimes it just doesnt work out, despite the best efforts.

    • @Epupify
      @Epupify 8 дней назад +2

      I get your point, but at the same time one could cut 'em some slack because they actually made it work with that roster for at least the season they won the championship. I think they all looked very capable of playing at a high level, it's not that there's a bunch of winning teams right now that look better on paper than the Nuggets do.

    • @michaelahurt
      @michaelahurt 8 дней назад +2

      @@leonhardable They are -12.9 without Joking on the floor. They kind of suck.
      Boston -- who IS in the second apron unlike Denver -- is -0.1 without Tatum.
      Dallas is +5 without Luka. NY is +5.6 without Brunson. GS is +0.9 without Steph
      Most of that is Jokic being that good but not all of it.
      You can't let a starter walk and not replace him and call that a best effort when teams like Dallas, NY and Philly are pulling every trick in the book to get better and Boston is paying everyone $30m/year
      Now the Bruce Brown thing wasn't their fault. They literally weren't allowed to match. (Although why you'd pay Zeke Nnaji but not Jeff Green is bizarre.) Likewise it's not their fault how the contracts lined up which was basically worst case scenario.
      But they _chose_ to let a 35 minute playoff guy walk for nothing. _Even if_ you think he's not worth it, you still keep the asset because you have no way of replacing him. At least ask for Gary Harris back.
      Offer Detroit MPJ for #5, Stewart and Fontecchio.
      Do _something_ beyond trading three seconds to sign a backup PG who is worse than the guy you had. *TRY*

    • @maartenvz
      @maartenvz 6 дней назад

      The threes that LaMelo takes are more difficult than the "average" three (which includes a lot of wide open ones). The fact that he is shooting 36% on such high volume as the main offensive option is very impressive. Plus, 36% from 3 means 1.08 ppp which is very good.

    Lakers again are disappointing and sitting in the play in zone. The lack of a big man is so visible that it's insane. AD has to defend everything. LBJ is making some really stupid turnovers, the league is better than it was when he could get away with the things he did on distributing the ball. He needs to be more calculated and continue just doing his bullyball, drive and kick or p'n&r with AD. They need to trade for a big and go all in on win now. The west is wide open this season. Clippers have been a cool story, a bunch of roleplayers playing hounding defense, forcing turnovers and playing strong man to man D.

He locks in on D during the post season. What he could do is limit his bad decision making on offense. JJ is trying to make them into a shootout team, lakers need defense and better half court sets. They rarely run horns 3 anymore which would be a nice play for Knecht or Rui.

      @@Zett76 Name 1 elite 2 way player from any point in basketball, even the plumber age past the age of 39. I'll wait. Even Jordan couldn't be arsed to play D on the Wizards even tho I don't take his stint in the Wizards as too relevant data since it was mostly to sell tickets. Even with him quitting to play any D, also using +/- as reference would bury players like Kobe or Shaq and their legacies respectively. Jokic barely plays any D and is in his prime and a 3 time mvp most likely. Look up his defensive ratings from the last couple of seasons, while you are at it, go check out Luka too. A team is constructed in a way that others compliment your play or fill the holes you leave open. Yall forgot how about 1.5 years ago he was clamping up Giannis, PG and Kawhi during the same possession. Still being able to do chase down blocks. This season dude looks spent, plain and simple. DLO, Reaves and Hachimura are all liabilities on defense. Idk why Jordan fans are obsessed with Bron. My comment pointed to the Lakers as a whole, you hyperfixated on Bron and you claim some false humility with "MJ was a terrible owner". Dude, we both know why you are here.
