Nrx and conquest rods are the standard when you talk about sensitivity. I’m glad you made this video about these rods. I was already looking at a medium heavy to throw jerkbaits/twitch baits with
I have several of the NRX inshore rods in my arsenal and have two of the new NRX + inshore’s now. These rods are super crisp and responsive. I can cast these rods extremely accurate and they will power your lure through a stiff wind. They load up great. The new series seems slightly lighter in weight. When you’re power fishing artificial’s all day your arm will thank you.
@@maaudio500 The 842 will be a great rod for reds in that range. It’ll handle larger, but that all depends on where you’re fishing. If you fish primarily flats and mangrove shorelines, you’re good to go. When you start working the docks and other heavy structures, I like to jump up to the 843.
Ive owned the nrx inshore 923 for the last 9 years. It survived a car accident, has landed tsrpon up to 50lbs and juat the other day pulled a 60lb nurse shark from out under a bridge thinking I hooked a snook of a lifetime at first lol. I hope these new series will be just as dependable.
Awsome i bought the XX as you suggested and combined it with a Curado DC. Guess I'll save up for that Stells for my go-to spinning reel. I fish from a Hobie my next move up will be a skiff.
Those rod and reel setups look sweet. Anything that looks and preforms that well is gonna cost a few extra dollars no doubt.Hope the folks from Shimano gave you the first "first cousin" discount. I'm wishing that was me up on the bow getting that cajun workout.
what a beautiful fishing day , I wish I would have share it with you ? I really want to get a G Loomis rod ( the NRX+ INSHORE 902S ) witch is announce for 1/4 -1/2 . To you're opinion , do you think we can trow a bit heavyer . 1/2 oz here in france mean's 14 grs , and usually use 18/19 grs . thank's in advance . have a nice fishing day .🙂
Great video. I cant get into the NRX+. Besides a simple xrap, this is 12year old blank technology. Gary Loomis has zero to do with this rod anymore. Gary Loomis is with North Fork Composites now. Hes come out with 2 newer and superior series of rod blanks (the Xray and C6O2) over this blank. This rod doesnt even come with fuji ti torzite or Seaguide Ti SiN guides. Instead, ss SiC.
I have a 260$ green water from when Gerry loomis was still part of the company, best rod I own , will say the heavy fast is to stiff for lighter artificial lures gotta use something with some weight or size
So nice to see our rods being used and catching nice fish! Tight lines

Considering the 842s for reds up to 32. not sure what you use but do you think it would have adequate backbone?

@@Bjgiii79 I'm in Hernando Beach fishing flats and creeks. Sounds like I'm placing an order 👀
@@maaudio500 Good luck! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The only downside, you’ll want another.
@@Bjgiii79 I might not financially recover from that 🤣

I put the Stella c3000xg on my NRX+ Inshore 841s. It balances perfectly.

Every thing Garry looomis touches is out of the price range of the blue collar man
Gary Loomis is no longer affiliated with the G. Loomis brand... Hasn't been for years. But his edge rods are still not the cheapest.
Shimanos G loomis NRX+ is old blank tech. North Fork Composites (NFC) has 2 newer and much improved blank generations over this rod.
i have st croix shimano fenwick and loomis rods and my E6x is the best of the bunch
Which nrx+ inshore rod?
No offense to Stella but daiwa exist lt has this reel beat but the rod is nice like to see how it would stack against my steez spinning rod
Daiwa is ass
I have the Stella 300 and Exist 3000. Both are on NRX+ Inshore. I LOVE both but use the Exist more. AWESOME reel due to the weight
Basically a $1600 setup with the Stella,
St.croix best rod on earth😁 best warranty too🤣
This is coming from a literal child but I don’t think you’ve ever fished with a loomis rod
Those rods are way out of my price range.
Then don't buy one! Not like its the only rod gloomis or shimano makes.
@@rainnants no reason to be a smart ass
They are top notch rods with top prices! Do yourself a favor and check out Fitzgerald Rods!

Sorry, those rods are way out of my price range.
There is no way that rod is worth 400 plus
You have to own one to know one!
