It was indeed very very very long term compensation. Poor Hikaru bot. He was lost since he took vicious and unstoppable Botez gambit. He was so naive thinking that he is winning. Nice game, Stockfisch!

4:12 - Some refreshing honesty. Can't win with this line. In summary, it took you over a billion attempts, plus a couple of questionable moves by the Hikaru bot in order to win this game. So my money is on Hikaru with queen odds against Stockfish. A billion wins/draws to only lose once? Every day of the week I take that deal. Great job proving that under the extreme condition of being down a queen, you wind up in unwinnable end games against Hikaru's bot nearly every time. And even in the game you won, it was only because he had an off day. You got some mad skills, Stockfish, but I think you pretty much proved Hikaru's statement correct about him being able to hold his own against you after benefiting from a Botez gambit.
Well SF15 is like 700 rating higher, so I'd imagine blunders like that do show up with a difference that huge. That's how many advantages are realized, the 2800 bot will make a move it analyzed is good but by some deep analysis is completely losing.

Hikaru would win - as with most IMs playing Stockfish with knight odds (much less queen odds). The strongest knight odds engine of now is actually Komodo MCTS but even that would lose about half the time against an IM. SF is really bad at odds as it would stop evaluating in favor of speed when the material difference is high, which backfires when many pieces are still on the board. However, Hikaru bot or any weak bots can still lose to it since they don't always want trade down pieces, whereas humans would, that's the key difference
Well, Hikaru bot is stronger than real Hikaru.. because real Hikaru lost against his bot by 2-1..so we can say he would be beaten more easily by stockfish 15
@@EnigmaChess wow, how did you assume he's 600. He is better at analysing these positions in the game than you are at analysing others. Your reason is true though.

Nxc4 is not too hard to find because the b pawn is pinned to the queen. Recognizing that first allows you to quickly spot Nxc4.

A brilliant move
