This track for me perfectly captures the atmosphere and the mystery of the Black Mesa Complex and makes me long to visit them again as Gordon: long, corridors full of half-shadows, giant pits, mysterious and secret experiments, super tech and alien worlds... Its almost like capturing the entire of black mesa in one track, from the beggining to the end.
ahh Colette Green and Gina Cross, two doctors who work in the same labs as Freeman, analyzing anomalous materials and specimens retrieved from Xen in prior teleportation experiments.

However, this possible retcon has yet to be made by Valve or Gearbox, since Gina Cross did not exist as a real character before Decay, released two years after Opposing Force, and that her fate is merely stated as being "unknown".

I still remember playing this when i was 6 years old in 2006. i played with my older brother who was 8 at the time too. i also remember not liking decay as much as single player because you could only see the flash of your weapon and not the model of the weapon it self. Hearing that theme really brings some strong nostalgia. I can never get old of half life. I have completed it like 3 times, never completed all the episodes of half life 2 though, the game doesnt give me the same feelings as those olders games like system shock, half life, or doom could.
Steve Verdugo yeah I feel the same way, I played half life 1 as my first rated M game as a kid and I instantly feel in love with it, when I became a teenager playing half life 2 just didn’t feel the same but I could never figure out why.
@Spoldier well while I was playing blue shift and opposing force in blue shift while on XEN I found one of their bodies and in opposing force the other one (don't remember who was who but I remember from their clothing *their colouring in the armor* maybe after they teleported to Doctor Keller they had to think of how to get out of black mesa -_- so maybe they got killed there OR! The reasonance reflux they had could have re-occured thus teleporting back to xen and killing them. I dunno for sure

@Katastrophy300 No, that was the Gina model from HL Deathmatch. The lighting makes it look like Colette, but it's not. No official sources have confirmed that that is Cross' corpse.
@DaddyF4tS4c Using the numbers from the announcer, it's 27 years, and Portal 1 takes place at the time of HL1 (as stated by Valve). So she wakes up when Gordon does. (About.)
Ok, i dont know waht YOUR Opinion is, but i played Decy with a friend of mine and i think it was completly AWESOME, like the other Half-Life games, the only bad thing was that there were some bugs which need to be fixed...
Oh lord I found the controls for half-life on the PS2 so damn difficult, and valve knew that themselves, thats why they added a lock on button XP PS2's first person genres hadn't had the most smoothest controls like our current FPS games, but nevertheless they kicked arse!
Half Life was designed with modern PCs in mind and only that, it got ported to the dreamcast because of the game's sucsess and how the devs liked the system, dreamcast died, the dreamcast port got ported to PS2.
Absolutely love it! This version is like a more advanced progression of this them! More drums. So ominous, mysterious, and badass too! @machiner6 It's easy follow me step's if you dont know it: Go into your folders find steamapps/(yourusername)/half-life and put the mod's folder into there and restart steam and there you go if you dont use steam dont ask me how to do it
