    I have been meaning to start a playlist on youtube of cozy videos to watch when I'm looking for "reruns" so to speak of my favourite journalers -- this is the first one!! which is to say, I absolutely loved this video, bronte!

    I have that same Sylvia Plath book, but haven’t taken a deep dive into yet. I skimmed through it a few years ago but it was a library book and I didn’t take notes on it back then. So I bought a copy a few months ago so I can read it more thoroughly and take notes for my commonplace book. I really enjoyed this video; I hope you continue to make more of this type.

    I love the fish tea cards book! I have a small collection of card books from a relative and definitely relate to the indecision of whether to keep them whole or take it apart😂 your commonplace is just so lovely and I’m sure it’ll be a treasure for years to come!

    I love this video, my partner just Starr his commonplace book and I'm new to this kind of journal but I love it as a reader and also knitter/crafter it will be nice to have a collection of things put together to look back at over the years. I got myself an A5 notebooks but I like the look of yours as the pages are a good size to hold a margin. What size book is it you're using 🤗 I'd love to see your commonplace progress as you continue. 🫶

    This was a very timely video, as I have a B6 Stalogy on the way to be used as a common book, so really useful thank you. Have you seen the Halibut KAL that Tribe Yarns recently did? So much inspiration for fishy sweaters!

    • @bronteswannick
      @bronteswannick  6 дней назад

      Oh exciting, I hope you enjoy it 😊 I did not know there was a KAL, but I am familiar with the pattern! I knitted a few of that designers patterns maybe 5 years ago, but I realised they just don’t fit me 😅 the armholes are always sooo low on me and I find that so impractical! BUT I do really love that sweater!! So I’ve been thinking of doing the cowl instead so I can still have something with the fish on!

    So when you are doing this journal, is it for you to reflect back on or maybe for others to look at later? What made you want to put the things in it that you did?

    • @bronteswannick
      @bronteswannick  5 дней назад

      It’s for myself, kind of a collection of things I am interested in keeping for the future. It’s difficult to say exactly why I’ve added the things I have, it’s kind of a mix of things that really resonate with me (like the quotes) and things I think are interesting (the articles) or just things I want to remember (the knitting notes) 😊

    i totally understand the niche ness of fish inspired knitting patterns! i want to make the halibut sweater as my next project but ive never done color work before
    Ive also just recently finally got a copy of her journals and the bell jar and im so excited to read those as well
    also i was curious is there a reason you don’t use any fountain pens in your commonplace?

    • @bronteswannick
      @bronteswannick  6 дней назад

      Ahh I think that would be a good first project because it’s only two colours total! Hope you enjoy the journals 😊 and there’s no specific reason I don’t use fountain pen, the paper is perfect for it, but I think I just prefer how the paper gets ultra crinkly with a ballpoint pen 😊
