- I think I’m satisfied having this as my first upload. Don’t mind the background noise, it’s a high school room after all…
Anyways, since I can only play two notes at a time (doing this with four mallets seems like a headache), I adapted the notes a bit.

thank you RUclips for recommending me some guy playing the marimba version of the song I’ve been looking for for years now coz I couldn’t remember the name or artist but had it stuck in the back of my mind reminding me of my memory’s biggest failure
cool!! that sounds super good, ive never seen anyone play the marimba before tbh but you seem pretty great
Thank you! I’m really not that great at mallets, and what you see is just the result of practice and lots of failed attempts. Means a lot ❤
this goes hard would love a full cover
Guys this is my first video how tf does this have over 500 views in two days
(edit) Holy shit, youtube loves recommending anything Polyphia related
Inspiring, truly. This made my day and I now have a good goal for the next 6 months 😎
Damn they gotta put this on an acoustic version
Hold up imma learn this I’ll be right back
I know theres gonna be differences with how people teach mallet technique, but with how ive been taught we keep an A shape with our mallets and we avoid turning our wrists over
I dont think you turned your wrists much. Or at least i couldnt tell
But it makes it easier to have your hands making an A, or an arrow shape pointing towards the front of the board (im trying to explain it the best I can)
And it also looks like youre using a bit more arm then you have to. Which again its kind of difficult for me to say for sure, but just try to use your wrists and avoid using any arm
Like youre knocking on a table
If Im right about what youre doing, then I hope this helps :))
That’s normally what I do with mallets, yeah. But the thing with this song is that since it was written for a guitar, there’s a lot of wide intervals in quick succession, something that mallets aren’t particularly good at. Maybe if I practiced playing it more relaxed it could be better, but the way I’ve got it, I kinda have to use a lot of my arms to get to the right notes on time.
@@Scarlet_Ace-515Have you tried it with 4 mallets?
With wider intervals like that it seems pretty well suited to that
But the notes themselves may be pretty awkward at times which will make it harder also
Idk. It just depends on what you're more comfortable with
It's also been a bit since I commented so maybe you've got it down now
yo this is heat
Sheets?
It’s a rough adaptation of TG Piano’s arrangement. Obviously since it’s a marimba and not a piano, I had to mess around with the notes to fit the limitations of the instrument. I don’t actually have sheet music tho.
probably should focus on technique youre hitting the strings rather than the bottom of the keys can cause a dead sound
