    LCW should have won this, his strategies were so good, but Lin Dan is master of pace control..

    This kind of intensity is beyond the understanding or grasp of a lot of people. By that I allude to those who have not played this phenomenal sport,maybe just the game version in the backyard or in high school,which is just a step up from that. There ought to be a rating system such as in the movies.... " for mature and sporty adults only and maybe smarter kids ".

    That rally at 2:55 was so sick. Nice finish aswell.

    All day lcw fly on the court I can see it.but I don't know how Lin covering the court by walking .the fact lcw can't win against lindan is only one thing Lin Dan is a natural player .

    • @KeithHiew
      @KeithHiew 3 года назад

      Exactly. LCW has very good technique, including his footwork, and you can see it comes from hard training. He's very well trained and his footwork looks "trained". Lin Dan was just walking. It's fluid. It doesn't look trained though obviously he's gone through years and years of training too. Even Rashid Sidek, one of LCW's former coaches, said this about Lin Dan's seemingly more "natural" ability.

      LD is like Taufik Hidayat which only walk on the court but somehow can manage to cover the whole court. However LD has better strokeplay, shot variety, and fighting spirit.

    Men' singles standard dropped after these 2 players retired. These 2 are in a class of their own.

    LD and LCW are equal at skill level right now..Both are just great !! ( Although LD was better 7-8 years back..Remember the 2008 olympics )
    There is just a tad bit of difference between the two as far as temperament is concerned. LD is an all out "fight till the end" kinda guy. LCW seems to loose his cool and comes under pressure in tight stage of the game !

    • @upy0ur5
      @upy0ur5 6 лет назад +1

      Even worse for LCW when its a tourney hes lost more than he won. He feels more pressured to win and ends up losing. Hes a monster now in skills compared to this vid but his speed here was much higher.

    Regardless of who is better, I have my opinion, others may have a different one but it looks like LCW is putting so much more energy and effort in this game and still can’t win. It seems for LD, although far from being an easy game, uses so much less energy, it seems so much more easy. LD looks to me a more natural player, has more talent and is mentally stronger while LCW has these things too but less than LD. LCW is however more of a fighter, puts more effort in it.

      MrT Baracus agree

    • @KeithHiew
      @KeithHiew 5 лет назад +2

      Yep. LCW moves and plays like a very “trained” player. LD meanwhile looks like he’s always walking on court, very efficient. Even Rashid Sidek, CW’s part time coach, said so. It’s like watching Sun Yang and Ryan Cochrane in the 1500 freestyle.

      Your assessment is just about right, I love Lcw but LD is a little better than Lcw, but that was enough to tip the game for them both

    I know lots of people love LCW, but we all have to agree that Lin Dan is the GOAT (Greatest of all time), specifically in this match he put less energy but still win while LCW struggle to get points from LD.

      Don’t forget this game was played in China, Lin Dan’s home ground. Anyone would have to struggle more at an opponents home ground which is the case for LCW. And I think prime Axcelsen would beat prime Lin Dan any day.

    • @KeithHiew
      @KeithHiew 3 года назад

      I've always wondered how do people elevate their game to such a level. I think it's a combination of two things: keeping the shuttle in play with no early unforced errors, and the solid, split-step footwork where even if you have been "deceived", you can change direction quickly and continue.
