Stationaire Motoren Show Nuenen 2023.

During the Pentecost weekend, the International Stationary Engine Show traditionally took place in Nuenen. Participants and visitors from all over the world found their way back to Nuenen for a few unforgettable days. The level of the engines on display was again of a very high quality this year. Many museums around the world would like to include them in their collection....!
Tiidens het pinksteren weekend vond traditioneel in Nuenen weer de Internationale Stationaire Motoren Show plaats. Deelnemers en bezoekers vanuit de hele wereld wisten hun weg weer naar Nuenen te vinden voor een paar onvergetelijk mooie dagen.Het niveau van de tentoongestelde motoren was dit jaar weer van een zeer hoge kwaliteit. Vele musea over de wereld zouden ze graag in hun collectie opnemen....!

Magnifiques moteurs fixes anciens surtout la très belle reconstruction du moteur Lenoir dont l'original se trouve au conservatoire des arts et métiers de Paris et en plus c'était un moteur sans compression et à double effet et qui a fonctionné pendant quelques temps dans les différents ateliers français

Oui, c'est vraiment beau de voir tourner ce moteur Lenoir. Cela a dû être une période fantastique lorsque ces développements ont eu lieu... !

Just think for a moment, these engines at the time were top of the line technology. From what you see here (these engines are small, most under two horsepower.) but the weight is huge by comparison to modern engines.)
Just imagine life back then. Say, your neighbor just bought one. Being one of the first for many miles around, your neighbors were curious.
You would have a lot of company. And a lot of questions - "how much did it cost" and so on.

that first engine - big vertical cylinder, small horizontal - was that a hot air engine? Or perhaps some kind of early IC atmospheric?

This is indeed a hot air engine. The brand is: Ludw. Loewe &Co berlin. It is called a feuerluftmaschine System Benier. The fuel coal is supplied automatically. It is verry nice to see this engine running.
