i have no idea why they have mj at # 2 because elvis is firmly the #1 selling male solo artist of all time with over a billion sales
he is so far ahead no one will ever take that title from him

This might be album sales for each singer/group. Otherwise, if it was just songs the same names would have multiple songs.

These aren't for song sales, they are for full albums (the song they played was just one of their best hits). Fun fact only 3 artists have sold over 150 million albums as a solo artist and part of a group... they are Micheal Jackson(Jackson Five), Paul McCartney(Beatles) and Phil Collins(Genesis). Btw as a Rush fan look into early 70's Genesis, along with Yes, 2 of Rush's biggest influences.
