🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Laura Kearney and Max Brinly drive to Upstate New York during the middle of the night to visit Hackett's Quarry Summer Camp, where the two have been hired as camp counselors. The two swerve their car off the road to avoid hitting some unknown creature and crash into the woods. While Max fixes the car, Laura explores the woods nearby and hears voices that call out to someone named Silas. Panicking, she flees and returns to Max. They are soon confronted by a local county sheriff who becomes suspicious of their situation. The sheriff orders Laura and Max to stay the night at a motel near Hackett's Quarry, but the two drive to the camp anyway. After they arrive, Laura sees somebody in the basement. The two break the basement door open to investigate but find nothing. Max is suddenly attacked by an invisible creature and Laura is sedated by the sheriff, who arrives at the camp and shoots into the basement.

The script is definitely wacky af but man the entire game itself is just a massive step up from these developers. Reminds me of classic slasher horror movies back in early 2000s and late 1990s. Pretty good game overall. I hope they feature skin walkers in their future games. Skin walkers are the most terrifying cryptid for me, they can look almost human but not human at all
How is this a step up from Until Dawn? These devs are a one-hit-wonder and they needed Sony for that one.

They have a conversation about bears and Its just like….”Bruh yall stretching this bear situation out when It wasn’t even a gotdamn bear that yall saw.” 🤦🏽♂️
It's a hit and miss. House of ashes was really damn good though to be fair.
The script being wacky is really impacting on the whole game: it's really difficult for me to watch it with all these shallow characters.
The skin walkers are the main monster in Until dawn 💀💀 the game that the quarry “surpasses”

I'll give them this, for a game made during the peak of quarantine and Covid, it's not bad. One of the actors, Evan Evagora I think it was, said that they couldn't do scenes with the full cast and had to do it in small groups so it's impressive what they could with this B-movie script.

I think it is sad that while Travis survived and the 'curse on his family is broken' but it doesn't really matter anyway. All the family members that were infected died. The only surviving Hacketts weren't werewolves to begin with so they had no need for the cure anymore. I wish that at least 1 of the 3 could have survived.
One of the bad endings though is all the Hackett's surviving and you getting enough evidence to convict them in prison.

Man motion capture stuff really is catching up to the point where we can just mistake it as an ordinary film.
this is for sure the best motion capture ive ever seen, Kaitlyns motion capture is insanely good for some reason. it's still looks like a game but alot of shots almost look real. i thought until dawn at the time was the peak of videogame graphics but this is better than until dawn by ALOT
around the first chapter, when they showed Mr. H, I was like "DEWEY!!!!!".
Well that feels like one of the most anticlimactic endings to one of these games. Until Dawn had such a better endgame scenario, this just feels like it was so....mediocre. There was no twist, no big reveal if someone in the camp was actually Silas, or anything like that, yet they had this camp going on for TWO MONTH (so at least 1 Full Moon during that camp) and put all those kids at risk of getting turned, and worse off, the fact that the number of werewolves just skyrocket, and no one would have been the wiser until it was too late.
Well I gave it a pass since it's not anthology pictures's game but yeah it have that

A lot of people are commenting on how weird or awkward the dialogue is, but it’s literally a bunch of obnoxious teenagers so I’d say the dialogue was very fitting and accurate. Also the little fact that everything that happened could’ve been avoided if they weren’t being dumb. Max and Laura wouldn’t of been in their situation had they went to the motel or came on time and not early. The rest of them wouldn’t of had to endure that night had Jacob not messed with the van or if they listened to Chris and stayed inside. The werewolf curse wouldn’t of happened to the Hacketts had Caleb and Kaylee not conspired and burnt down the Harum Scarum caravan.This game is the very embodiment of teenage stupidity and that’s what makes it fun imo
1:54:29 During this scene there were actually 2 werewolves at the time. Caleb, the one who bit nick and was shot by the hunter. The other one was werewolf Kaylee prowling behind Abi, it was the one that chased her off. That's why if you messed up playing as Abi when she was running away, you end up getting bit by Kaylee therefore becoming infected, but Abi never get a chance to transform because later on Laura kills werewolf Kaylee mistaking her for a werewolf Chris.
A plot hole I never understood, the Hackett family knew the 3 were turning into werewolves. They knew to chain/lock Chris in the house, why the hell is Caleb and Kaylee roaming outside? The 3 could've just went inside the electric cage and stayed there til morning every full moon
@@leejameson8419 while walking around the Hackett house as Laura there is a piece of paper that states “Caleb and kaylee can now finally look for the white wolf” or something like that. they were out free because they were hunting the Silas to end the curse

Like the dispatch agent won't start arguing with you about the exact specifications of the event they'll send cops an ambulance and if it's severe enough they can even send fire fighters to administer immediate aid. You can't even make the excuse that they don't know this because they are grown ass adults about to leave for college. The fact that he didn't immediately pick up the phone and dial 911 is absurd.
some people say you have to have morons for horror movies to work but i just call this lazy writing but because it had some "twists" the writers think they are the bees knees.

To be fair, I've been in the situation where you call 911 for assaults and they do NOT act immediately. You have to explain every detail, even for school shootings, and if they don't hear enough evidence they won't take you seriously or if it isn't convenient enough for easy handling, you won't get help period. And saying self-defense gets you convicted worse than the assailant.

Love the story, legit realistic graphics. I also love the way all of the characters interact with each other. I'm glad they made this game. It makes for a great horror film. 6 & half hours 🥰

If she paused in her quest to kill Chris and worked with the Hackettes instead a lot could also be prevented.

2. When the Hackett's learned that Travis kept them in the police station for two months (because they didn't know until he told them and Laura was under the floor) the grandma's instant reaction was to fucking kill them all so stfu she can't work with psychos.
3. No she didn't want to kill Chris's family she wanted to kill Chris specifically to save her boyfriend, it's not her fault that the family got in the way.
This looks scary as hell better than horror movies for sure. Can't wait to play this one and thanks for uploading!

TBF Dylan would be in shock at that point, where your responses to trauma get dulled. Kaitlyn even says as much like a minute later. Still bad because Ryan would be utterly hysterical at that point.
@@gabrielfrear7412 there's shock and there's chilled out haha, even in later scenes he's just sat there not remotely bothered by any of it, no pain, no fear or sadness, just emotionless again
So this isn't quite the best ending since you can still save Caleb and Constance, but it's still way closer than other playthroughs that are labeled as the best ending. I'm just glad to finally see someone get through it without killing Bobby since he's the easiest death to avoid yet somehow people keep screwing it up

Lol it's a movie option in the game that the devs made, thats why there's a few seconds silence in between decision moments at the cut scenes

This is pretty good, but come on. I would just love to see a horror movie/game where the characters are actually smart. Just got to the point where Ryan and Dylan are encountering one of the beasts at the radio, but seriously, why the hell wouldn't Ryan say that he saw something? He saw Nick bloody from an 'animal' attack, see's a weird 'animal' out the window and thinks, 'Oh I'm just seeing things, I'll keep this to myself.' What a dumbass.
Play Until Dawn, you'll see dumber.
They should have made this like predator, except you can save everyone. 9 main characters, yeesh, what wasted potential

In whatever other versions of this you do can you add one that includes that cutscene after collecting the hierophant card (towards the end) where Eliza shows the backstory of what happened to the traveling circus?

My only complaint (if anything) would be I wish the visuals were a bit brighter/clearer. Some scenes are lit like a movie and some are lit like a found-footage handycam video. Gotta bump up the brightness.

It's weird how the game just ends with absolutely no closure to any of the character subplots it spent the entire story setting up.

I think Until Dawns story with the Wendigos was more belivieable and the plot twist at the end was better. This story about exploding werewolfs and predictable oucomes is missing that special something. The female characters are good but the boys dont get much action...
I agree I think that until dawns is better in my opinion. This game is still good but like you said, it is missing something.
Think it's probably how each handled the supernatural elements...
Until Dawn kept the focus at only *one,* the Wendigos, and spent the *entire game* giving you clues on how they come to be, and how to deal with them.
Whereas with Quarry, it felt like they were stacking supernatural tropes on top of each other to make the situation "grander." There's a werewolf- Oh wait there's a "master" werewolf who started it all- *Oh wait* there's also a witch too, who might've started *that* but we'll relegate her to a bodiless voice all game!
It honestly got overwhelming at times trying to remember everything... 😅

The irony is if they'd limited the game to 24fps it probably would have looked more realistic and not dipped into the uncanny valley so often.

Kaylee Hackett is scripted to die. She cannot be saved.
If you don't shoot Chris in the Hackett house as Ryan, then Chris kills Ryan, and/or Travis Hackett is killed. I haven't seen any play-throughs yet where everyone in that encounter survives. I am still looking for a way.
I've been told you can save Caleb without losing a counselor, but I haven't seen that one yet either. Usually you have to choose between killing/trapping Caleb (where he dies in the freezer) or risk getting Kaitlyn or Dylan killed. Or, you don't kill Silas so Caleb stays a werewolf and survives the freezer, but then Travis and either Laura or Ryan (or all three if you don't have the werewolf blood) die.
@@AndrewsRUclips Think you can save Caleb if you get Dylan and Kaitlyn infected. Don't cut off Dylan's hand and he'll transform in the scrapyard. Get Kaitlyn bitten in the scrapyard by failing some QTEs. That way she returns alone to the lodge and when Caleb attacks, he'll realise she's infected and leave so you won't have to kill him.
@@HewieAlbino dylan doesn’t have to be infected. in my playthrough, i cut dylan’s hand off. kaitlyn was infected in the scrapyard. abi and emma were both alive. when it got to the lodge fight between kaitlyn and caleb, dylan retreated to the kitchen whilst kaitlyn investigated the noise caused by abi and emma. she picked up the silver shells, but i chose not to shoot. this results in kaitlyn being merely scratched on the shoulder, but not being killed.

I noticed the characters are repeating some of the lines midway through the game. Is that a game problem or a small recording problem? Other than that, interesting until dawn summer edition game
it's not in the game so I'm guessing it's the recording.
The whispering voice is helping them idk im about 4 hours in this video, first is jacob he follows the voice and now he finds emma second laura and max follows the voice too and now they find what they needed. I think the hacket family was cursed by the ghost woman because they were the cause why the place got burned down.

Yeah that seems like oversight. It also makes the whole 'The curse on the Hacketts was lifted' thing useless since all the people who could be cured died. There was no one left to be cured. I wish at least 1 of the 3 survived and that could have been Caleb if anyone remembered the fact that even if the wolf in the freezer wasn't cured he would turn back into a human by day so they should have stood watch to let the 'human' back out at dawn. But since he was cured he would have been banging on the door to be let out. The people standing watch would have heard him and he'd still be alive.

Does anyone know...how the hell poor Silas became a werewolf?! Seriously! He can't have been the first of his kind! So many questions! I mean I know Eliza is a witch...ghost...whatever, but she cared so much about Silas that there's really no way she afflicted him with this curse herself, so, unless its hereditary, like Silas' father passing it on to him, then there has to be at least one more werewolf, and a powerful one.
Nah.. I think that she accidentally cursed her child while trying some witchcraft or something. You said it yourself, she love her kid. no way she would just let the progenitor warewolf go if there's any. After the curse, she probably think that it could be a blessing for her circus as well. Seems like Eliza got everything under control as well. Nothings wrong with Silas situation until the Hacketts messed everything up.

Of all the werewolves, Silas is the most docile and seemed like he wanted to be in the cage for himself. That showed that Eliza at least does something right. And you don't know that she imprisoned him all the time. The hacketts released him when he was either already a docile werewolf or on the brink of turning into one. That means she put him there for the safety of everyone and himselfs.
The hacketts are entirely at fault at that moment and caused a lot of deaths that night. But even then I still think that the Hacketts still got everything under control. Until Laura showed up and messed everything up for everyone.

They went to jail after experiencing all those horrors, instead of a sigh of relief to jail they go, so much for their future especially for Laura and Max, they were already in jail for two months but now their on jail for real this time. lmao what a brutal end.
