- The much-anticipated new Dunlop MX34 tire is here and our own testing guru Kris Keefer headed out to LACR to give us the low-down. Dunlop has a huge presence in American motocross and supercross already, so what makes these MX34 tires better? Keefer, his son Aden, and friend Eddie Laret hit the track to provide feedback. Let's find out!

Through this entire video Keefer talks almost exclusively about the front tire yet never do you show any images of the tread. Maybe next time you could shoot some b roll of the product being reviewed and mix it in when appropriate. I know I would like to SEE the thing Keefer is discussing.
New generation, taught that the elders, (parents especially), are old fashioned, (and even stupid), so they are figuring out all of of their life from scratch, and it is all accepted.
It is like living though life with the C grade and pat on the head they graduated with.
Agree 100% about the front tire I love it way more than the mx33 it's definitely cut my lap times down by a couple seconds and given me more confidence in the corners my biggest takeaway is you don't get that banana peel feeling like you do on the 33 when you lose traction the 34 gives you a little bit of a warning so you have time to correct before losing traction altogether
Kris and Eddie - best review of the new 34's on TY-land! Thanks!
They were reading from a brochure for sales with out us seeing the new tire. Not a non-biased review. Those may come later, but most will be a sales brochure, saying the exact same sales pitches,----like the news does. lol
How well does it work for drive in sandy conditions, (most MX tracks and sandier) compared to the MX33 and 14? And how well does it stay hooked up for berm-less corners in soft to hard conditions compared to the same tires?
By looking at the old 752 or 990 center knobs, and that great newer "bock in block technology" of the side knobs, I would like to see more "scoop action" of the center knobs, that would dominate any ground golf course hard to softer, and even hold it's own on the harder stuff, ( "bock in block technology" of the side knobs.).
But for now, instead of the MX14 in the Michigan trails, I think I will go with the tried and true 752/990 with the "bock in block technology" of the side knobs. :)
Sounds like these are pretty similar to the Pirelli mx32’s? Curious how they last
What track is this? Looks fun, I just ordered a set of mx34 for my son's 125 sx
Does rider weight affect tire pressure at all? should a lighter rider say 140lb be using more like 10 or 11 lb to get better traction?
Your tracks look like smooth highways.
Ya he talked about coming down to Oklahoma and riding a grown man track. Said Aden was tired after 4 laps cause it's ripped deep and gets deep ruts. Said they're not use to tracks like that cause they ride mostly in California and as you can see Cali tracks suck
Hi Keefer, how does the 34 front compare to the Bridgestone x31?
Oh good. I will go check out that tire. I am sure I can find pictures of it too.
How come all the fsctory guys are still running the factory compound mx3s?
I would still choose the Hoosier Tires. Or maybe even the Pirrelli MX32.
Is the rear tire a directional tire, hopefully not ?
No it’s not directional
No pics of the new tires?
I am not going to listen to them babble about it then. I am going to call this "Tease Marketing", (not showing the tire), and I don't appreciate it myself.
I can get hyped up like a wind up toy, or I can check out their competition.
Smooth dry flat track…. Bro
Wow Eddie gave up the 350 in less than a year?... he may have been too big a guy..
What happened over the years? I can remember picking up a magazine and reading actuall real reviews of Tires, Exhaust or anything to do with a bike. Comparing the products with other manufacturers. Not today. It is all one sided. .. We who paid attention to the outdoor nationals. We all saw what the mechanics did to thier Factory Race Spec Tires. The riders complained so they cut the center lugs in half. On a Factory Race Spec tire. Which is made from compounds they do not sell to us.. Do the right thing actually compare these Dumblops to other brands. Especially the Hoosier IMX25. Hoosier tires makes no bones about thier tires. They sell Tires for the racers.
Oh I forgot we also seen many of the Pro's who ran the New Race Spec Dumblops Tires. Many of the lost traction and washed out in the corners.. Where are the Balls today? Did Joe Biden take the magazines also!?
No Front tire tracks better than the Hoosier Tires.... not one...
how long do they last?
@Ray Newton front tore holds up well. Rear IMX25 holds up pretty well. The IMX30 last longer. But, the traction and stability the IMX25 offers makes them worth the money.
@Ray Newton buy a set give them a try.
@@dennismillus4581 For the ground you ride on.
Price increase with less durability wtf
