Mr. Fennell is a gentleman of the first order. I met him at a shooting club once. He shared knowledge with me about the gun he used and the gun I wanted to buy. He also emailed me to give me advice on my purchase. All done from the goodness of his heart and a desire to share knowledge. Thank you sir.
Yes! Completely agree! I may seem a bit biased, because we’ve made videos with him, but that’s how he is with everybody. He’ll bend over backwards to help people out. Can also say, from personal experience, that he has also vastly improved my game. Thanks for sharing your story above and for watching the channel!
I took a lesson from Will at Chuck Fraziers place in Little Washington NC around 2000 - 2001. He cut the sights off my gun so I would not aim. Never did replace them.
Well, another home run video for The Clay Lab. The videos keep getting better each time. Mr. Fennell sure does have a nice place. What a wonderful thing to be able to step right out your front door and step right onto a sporting clays field. I just might have to get over there and take a lesson for myself. I think the clay bots are awesome too. Once again, great video, great editing, great channel.
Thanks! Yeah, both eyewear manufacturers are excellent. We’re looking forward to checking out Pilla soon. Haven’t personally tried them yet, but hear good things.
Great idea with the hearing protection. That’s right up my alley…My wife and I are both ear doctors, so we ought to be able to cover that pretty well 😂
@@RhymeNologist maybe cover the oh so popular trend of shooting with apple airpod pros. Do they actually protect your ears? I asked my audiologist and she didn’t know!
@@Turninlaps289 oh man! I can cover that right now, haha. I’m an otolaryngologist (ENT) and my wife is an audiologist. If you completely seal the ear canal, you get about 26dB of protection. That could be anything from custom molds to foamies if worn right. Regular AirPods don’t make a seal, so I’d say they provide 0-15 dB of protection as sound gets around them. AirPod Pros have a weak seal to help them with noise cancellation, but they don’t cancel impulse noises (like Gunshots). That weak seal may provide anywhere from 0dB to maybe 20dB depending protection depending on how somebody wears them but are NOT rated for hearing protection. Gunshot is between 140 and 160-165dB. A SINGLE loud noise of 140dB or higher can damage your hearing right away! So if you wear AirPods or similar, would consider it a big risk. Much better off With free foam ear plugs from the range. It’s a great topic for a video, though, because certain ear pro can enhance your game (electronic can let you hear traps, for example). Thanks!
@@RhymeNologist that’s what I figured. I personally wear custom molded, but at the Texas state championships I saw LOTS of young to late teens wearing airpod pros. I asked a few of them how they worked, and all of them were convinced it was better than foam plugs.
Love the videos. Would like to see a video on picking the right shotgun. Being a lefty there’s not that many options out there. Would like to see yalls opinions
Just talked to Will. He doesn’t teach at Old Forge these days, but he said to contact him through his website and he can get in touch with you about the next time he’ll be up your way (or get you to come down to his place).

Great intro to Will's school and what goes on with your lesson.
Thanks! Highly recommend checking out his place in person if you ever get the chance.

Thanks, Tim! Definitely consider checking out his school! It’s about a five hour drive for me, and well worth it.
It was great working with The Clay Lab! Other than the damage to my pine tree, everything went smooth and professional!
Great working with you too! Have you received your bill from Scott’s Tree Trimming Service yet? Heard they’re pricey
Yeah, that’ll be $200 for removing that pinecone from the very top of the tree. Really balances out the tree, I think
Great content! Thank you. Glad I found your channel.
Thanks! Appreciate you watching
Great work fellas! Glad to see smock not smoking the RE Ranger bandwagon! Hope to see some hearing protection reviews.

A great looking shooting ground 👌

Did Will check you for gun fit before you started shooting ?
