Imagination station is the Christian version of Magic Treehouse in case you’re interested! We read both :) I always check The Good and the Beautiful’s book list recommendations, I tend to read books they don’t recommend anyways, but the micro detail that they give is a good place to search content. Common sense media is a place to look as well.
@@TheHomeschoolConvert actually just picked our holds up today and we got Matilda finally! And it is the one by Kate Winslet so very excited for tomorrow
Thank you for all your time you put into your podcast videos. They have been so incredibly helpful. Can I ask, for The Courage of Sarah Noble read aloud, from where did you find the CM inspired Unit study?
If you’re looking for something thanksgiving themed the magic tree house has Thanksgiving on Thursday. Like someone else said imagination station books are on my wishlist also you may like adventures in odyssey audio theater series.
I have grown in love with audiobooks lately too!!! We have read The Trumpet of the Swan, A long walk to water, and now we are reading Pax which is such a great fall book. 😊
I really appreciate when people give reviews of books and their content. Thank you for doing that thoroughly! The wild robot audio was so great my seven-year-old listen to it in two days.
We loved it soooo much! We’ve already finished the second one, and my kids are holding out for a third! I haven’t heard of it being in the works, but they couldn’t get enough of it!
We've been reading Heidi and we are all LOVING it! We read The Secret Garden last year, and so far I'm really impressed at the parallels my kids draw between the two!
The Soul of an Octopus is also written by her. Wonderful audiobook!!!! We listened to it a few years back, some of the content was over my kids head at the time and she does mention evolutionary timelines, I don’t believe anything else came up. She narrates the book herself and it is a must listen to book in my opinion:) We visited our local aquarium after reading it and it was a very good complement to be able to see the content we were hearing about. If you had an opportunity to go behind the scenes and do a feeding that would be amazing as well.
Love love loved this video so much!!! The info on the themes and the hard subjects in the books is sooo helpful!! Would watch all your videos like this one!!

Thank you for these tips!! Very helpful!
We haven't tried audiobooks yet but will later in the fall.
The Charlotte Mason study sounds great I will look into it.
It's always fun when the kids are chanting "read another chapter! read another chapter!" because the book is so good!
Yes!! Such a joy to hear that!!
I accidentally got the Spanish version for Matilda. I’ll have to check out the audiobook.
Oh no, haha! The audiobook with Kate Winslet was great. Check your library!

Thank you for sharing. I will be checking out a couple of the audio books you shared.
Would love to hear your thoughts afterward!
It is by far our favourite audible as well. (the Wild Robot) xxx

We loved it so much!!

We’ve been reading the wild robot and love it so far!! Didn’t even think of listening to the audio book. Will listen to it!
It’s a great listen!
Would you be able to share where you found the unit study for The Courage of Sarah Noble?
I thought I linked it in the description, but perhaps I forgot. I’ll double check! It’s by Charlotte Mason Simple Studies, though!

That book is on my to-read list, but perhaps I should listen with my girls! They loved the chapter about the octopus.
