  • BUYING A BCS TRACTOR: 30 in 30 #26
I buy a BCS Tractor from Dickens Turf and Landscape company in Hendersonville, TN. Tyler from Dickens shows me the controls, features, and options on the BCS 749 Walk Behind Tractor with 30" tiller box I am buying.

Hello I can give you bit more answers than the seller. So the BCS higher models which includes the 853 the 660 and the biggest one of their fleet the 750.
Generally most of what he told you is true but not entirely.
the 750 is the biggest in the fleet because it has the big cast iron Differential drive.
It is also the only one in the fleet that can handle 38" wide heavy duty tiller and The Tilles are thick like big tractor tilles And it's geared in a way to where it gets more torque and more rotations per wheel drive with the tiller.
The 853 is the fastest in the fleet able of doing speeds of almost 10 Plus miles per hour.
The 660 is 1 of the big brothers of the automatic transmission fleet.
It is the only tractor capable of running the 7' wide sickle bar mower.
Your 749 is 1 of the big boys as well it's just right in the middle. But as far as things go each one of those tractors that I mentioned including yours. you can purchase the sulky for it and ride the tractor.
And you used to be able to get a diesel version... Until our emissions laws banned that so now we can't have a diesel in the US if you want a diesel in the us you will have to engine swap it.
The engine they had for it was a 9.3 horsepower khoer diesel. USA wise.
Only the old tractors without the power safe have that engine certain models anyway. early 2000s - 90s and older.
In the European side they use the Yanmar 12hp. diesel.
Another attachment that they are currently working on in the BCS industry is potato planters to go along with their potato digger.
Enjoy your BCS I do enjoy all of mine they come very in handy running my market farm

Excellent overview! One thing you missed - in this video, the salesperson says that 3rd gear is a transport speed. On model 749, there is no transport speed - there are actually three working gears. The transport speed is only available on dry-clutch models (710, 718, 722, 732, 852, 853). PowerSafe models (739, 749, 750) don't feature a transport speed for safety reasons. With a PowerSafe tractor, the wheels stop IMMEDIATELY when you let go of the red OPC (operator presence control) lever. If you accidentally let go of that lever going 9.8 mph, you'd be flying over the handlebars!

@@BCSAmerica Worth it. Least I modified the sulky made it so I could operate it in tiller position. Even tho it leaves tracks I have a tow hitch for a reason so I hook up a harrow or seeder and get my grain done or make it look nice for planting crop one thing is certain I'm not walking a blood acre lot 😂

RE: The implement attachment point. Did you get a quick attach yet? Considering the 779. Do you get the sense the attachment point is a weak spot?

How are you enjoying your BCS?
Did you only get the tiller with it then?
I have a BCS 722 (8hp, straight axle) with a tiller & snowblower. I really like mine, quality equipment.
