Mutton Bhuna | Step-by-step recipe | Lamb Bhuna

- Traditional Bangladeshi Mutton (Gosht) Bhuna recipe, the meat is slowly cooked in onions with salt and whole spices until fully tender before adding in the spices, which adds to the richness of the curry. You can also use Lamb.
Ingredients
1 ½ kg Mutton Meat
3 Medium Onions
2 ½ tsp Ginger paste
2 ½ tsp Garlic paste
Salt to taste
4 Bayleaves
4 Cardamom pods
4 sticks Cinnamon sticks
5 tbsp Oil
5 tbsp Fresh coriander
5 Green chillies (optional)
3 Medium tomatoes
Spices
⅓ tsp Tumeric powder
1 ½ tsp Chilli powder
1 ¾ tsp Coriander powder
1 ½ tsp Cumin powder
1 ⅓ tsp Hot/Mild curry powder
Optional spices
⅓ tsp Garam Masala powder
⅓ tsp Deggi Mirch powder

After adding the meat on top of the onions, then the heat on, did you add water? Where did all that water come from?
The excess water come out from the meat, but during the cooking process if it becomes dry then you can add some more.

Sis if I make 2kg of lamb, how much more of all the ingredients will I need? 💕
As a guide apart from the haldi, increase all other spices by 1/2- 3/4 Tsp and with tumeric add 1/4 Tsp extra.
Add 1 more extra medium onion. Increase the Garlic & Ginger by 3/4 each, whole spices can remain the same. Coriander and Salt can be adjusted to your preference.
