MFFL here. J7st w8 until next season. If they can get another 5 they can put lively at the 4. That means you can put PJ at the 3 and play an older ky off the bench or rest luka from time to time 😅 th8s team is 1 piece away from a dynasty. Not just a chip. Hardy is about ready to elevate his game too with ky as a mentor. Stacked at every position except the 4. 1ll we need is a defensive 5. Get addams for that tbh.

On the other end, brooklyn was glad to get rid of him. That's what it honestly felt like they were doing; getting rid of him.
Kyrie was probably right when he implied he didn't feel respected there. Personally as a boston resident I was happy when he left Boston. Cause I felt like we did NOT deserve a player like kyrie. Boston fans treated him like trash after 1 disappointing post season, and it made my stomach turn. Kyrie is EXCELLENT. And I'm glad he landed in a place like Dallas where the fans, his teammates, and even the local media over there all appreciate him simply being there. It really is a blessing.
I'm gonna be honest... my dream finals this year is mavericks beating boston in the finals. Cause boston's gonna kill tatum if he disappoints. And he might want out. We don't appreciate the good things we have in life. Time to wake up.

I'm so glad someone is highlighting these truths. Mavs are suddenly younger, more athletic and more versatile than we've ever seen in the Luka era, and gave up relatively little to accomplish it:
    - Kyrie was considered damaged goods
    - PJ and Gaff were hidden gems on terrible teams
    - DJJ was boiled down to a dunk contest guy
You compared PJ and DJJ's versatility to Reggie Bullock but I'm comfortable going further and including some of our other past "3&D guys" like our beloved Dorian Finney-Smith. Any time either of those guys (or really anyone) put the ball on the floor, I expected a turnover. Not anymore.
Love the age point too but it's not just their age - most of them are under contract for multiple years so Mavs should finally have some continuity with the same young core for the first time in what feels like decades.
    Great video. Keep grinding ✊

I agree 100%. Many sleep on Hardy. Under Kyrie and Luka he can develop into unstopable player. He is natural borh shooter with good dribble, good speed and good 3pt and mid shooting. Luka embraced that head role and now both of them looks so happy and comfortable with their roles.. add in some young talents and man I'm just glad they are contenders.. I still don't expect them to win the chip.. I want them to since they're my second favorite team after the Bucks.. but if they keep this up I expect a chip from them soon..

Even then the Mavs were already way better. We were just completely injured untill the start of February. That did cost us at least 5-10 wins and was the main reason for our defensive problems. For over 2 months we missed at least 2 mostly 3 starter/role player. And they also changed every other week. Means no consistency whatsover. Our starting lineup changed basically every other game. The Trades did just put us over the edge from a good team, to a possible contender. Together with finally having a healthy and consistent starting lineup.

The great thing is that Kyrie can finish his career at Dallas (which he will if they keep winning). That gives them security for the next 2-3 years before they have to find a replacement point guard. All the other guys are young so no worries there if they keep performing. They could legit go for championship with this team and do minor tweaking/trades in the following years to keep the team strong.

I love the mavs but their only reliable offensive players are luka and Kai. Their role players are dismally unreliable.

To me afford was huge addition I felt like he's maxi with no physical attributes...that maybe doesn't have the three ability as much but has more centre power forward defense and blocking then maxi..PJ was my concern on him not getting enough quality minutes in his role that his offense would drop...only because you have catch and lobbers , two guards that can drive and shoot...and jr. Ex as possible stand up shooting at small forward...as well...glad he's got a chance and taking them ...

Our two headed Center is the best in the league, 20ppg, 13.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.3 blocks. Plus they never get tired and never foul out. Plus Lively is only 20 and learning from the best.

that DJJ signing was a steal. Fits well into Jason Kidd’s defensive schemes while not totally being a zero on offense. Something that he must have been looking for in the likes of DFS and Reggie in the past.

@@toob_noob4381exactly. People act like he had done anything but get played off the court against the clippers in the playoffs. Those playoff games were where he showed his potential and by that time the time to sign him was way passed.

Damn right! I just can't understand how or why everyone overlooks Jones JR. The guys has become an over achiever. What every thing has in common is Nico Harris the Dallas GM. He knows everyone who has ever played the game and is still alive from working at Nike. I couldn't believe he took the job at Dallas, or even why he took the job. He knows all the young players at Dallas and across the league since they were kids. I didn't think he had a chance with the Dallas roster and trade capital. Now I can't believe what he's accomplished. Great Video, including Jones JR.

It is so sad to see that the one time Luka has a legit team around him, a team I can totaly see winning it all in right circumstances, he gets injured to the point he is barely rven running up and down whole PO long. Like what are the chances? Hope next season they keep healthy because this is a legit team in every aspect.
