We have one where I work. The thing is a beast and can’t even comprehend the power. We also have JD 755k crawler loader and that’s a force to be reckoned with.
That Russ Co. must be a good old CAT customer. Where is that company located? That old machine looks like very new - they take very good care on it. Very nice catch Allen!
Im not sure exactly where but they must be located in the Chicago area. You are right, nice machines and well taken care of. This was recorded at the same site with the old CAT D9 scrapers.
We have a newer ones with Peterson demo bitter bucket from cat . It will push/ bite whatever you want ,I’ve dragged pushed giant caissons out of wholes, bit giant beams etc !! There getting phased out in demo for excavators unfortunately to expensive to up keep and get out worked by hoes. I still think there valuable but, also hard to find guys to run them anymore with demo buckets with 3 joysticks !
Sweet 973. You don't see many of these around but when you do, they sure are fun to watch.
Agree, when I do find one it's cool to watch.
Those machines are awesome. Camera doesnt do it justice to how big they really are
They really are, one of my favorite to watch and record.
Awesome video Allen! I saw 973 and was drawn in like a moth to a flame...

Those track loaders are beasts
Great video Allen🤙
They sure are James
Looks like a mid 90's 973B. I have the younger brother to this machine, a 973C i use clearing land and excavating.
Thanks, you have the 963?
@@ConstructionMachineryChannel I use to operate a 963D excavating. But now I own and operate a 973C.
A little slow dumping.
Maybe, but the 973 looks great.
wide pad tracks with hydrostatic transmission tracks never stop spinning lots of power
A lot of power in this 973.
Good looking 973 I've ran a953 ,963 but never a 73 would love to.
It's well kept for sure, should last another 30 years.
Yeah true excavators out perform these by a country mile, shame they used to be everywhere
Nice machine - not sure how long the haul was but they were maxing out the load of the ADT. Cheers
The haul wasn't very far, maybe about 100ft. He sure was maxing it out, it was getting a little late and he probably wanted to go home too.

Between loading with 955's, 977's, 953', 63' and 73's...I will say 'you sir need a lot more seat time'.
That thing is a beast , great video man
Sure is a beast!
I like Russ and Co. I heard they bought out Rust and Co. They had some kind of corrosion problem.
Haha, I think you are right!
What génération and engine is that?
Not sure which generation it would be but it's from the early 1980's.
Hey guys, anyone know how old this loader is? It's a nice one.
1985 0r 86
@@num1loaderman Thanks Vince, I was thinking the same.
thanks
How full can you get it? Yes.
Very full.

BOA noite qual o valor desa 973
When u r full ur full, move on bro
Not a very efficient operator, 6 FULL BUCKETS, half buckets are a waste of fuel and time
