i wish we would’ve learned about things like these in school instead
right now actually watching this video to use it within my next English lesson
I would love to see you guys do the unsolved murder of hogan from Hogan’s heroes aka bob crane!
The celts from Ireland, Scotland, The UK and parts of Europe. You forgot Wales!
You should do a video on the lost boys of Pickering
I wanna thank the Celts for bringing Halloween
St Patrick's Day is also Halloween just with beer and not candy.
I’m pagan and this video is either gonna make me happy or furious... let’s watch
How accurate is it
Well what is your verdict 🤣
@@odysseus9176 well they missed the main country which founded the holiday, wales.
So not accurate at all really.
It’s a joint Irish and welsh holiday
In welsh: calan gaeaf.
In irish: Samhain (sorry Ireland no idea how to spell Irish)
@@odysseus9176 They got the gist... ish? But they didnt do a good job, like at all. Halloween is a christian spinoff of a traditional ancient pagan holiday called Samhain. Its the day the god dies and passes into the afterlife, and the veil between the afterlife and the mortal world thins. So deceased family members can come visit you. its a day of love and celebration and honoring, its not spooky. Its like a funeral and a welcome home party in one holiday. It is also considered the pagan new year. Samhain isn't about scaring people. Its a christian interpretation to make fun of pagans. The video made it seem all scary and dark, its a celebrational holiday. Its a happy day where you celebrate family

Okay so get got it right kinda but they’re making is so villanized and gothic. Like the holiday is a happy day. It’s a day to love your family and honor your deceased family. It’s a happy and loving holiday. Not some scary creepy thing

I remember the story like kids were burning houses down so grown ups gave them candy or something
Nah that’s 2020
@@isabellahorne6284 😁😁😁
If your country doesn't celebrate Halloween share my pain
So Halloween came from a European version of Dia De Los Mertos? (I think that's how you spell it)
@@nigelmarvin1387 oh ok
It’s Dia De Los Muertos. My parents are Hispanic so i would know lol
@@rxd_rxses5102 ok, I'm actually surprised at how close I got
"It is particularly celebrated in Mexico where the day is a public holiday. Prior to Spanish colonization in the 16th century, the celebration took place at the beginning of summer. Gradually, it was associated with October 31, November 1, and November 2 to coincide with the Western Christian triduum of Allhallowtide: All Saints' Eve, All Saints' Day, and All Souls' Day." -Wiki
@Cece OOOOOOOOOOOH
Those fires still happen! We are still around and still celebrate the old ways ❤ and also love that sanhain was pronounced correctly
Spoopy skeletons are happy its spooktober
*spoopy skeleton noices*
Bruh these episodes are soooo good just whyyyy
If it weren’t for us Irish. Halloween wouldn’t exist
Not true it was more of a welsh holiday anyways.
mad how many people dont understand who the celts were. it's most of western europe besides southern england, including parts of spain and france :)
4:50 that’s a bit of an exaggeration... maybe in America LOL
Where do you live? In america that's definitely the case

when you watch supernatural so you also know about the demon samhain that can only be summoned from hell on halloween (no idea if that's based in factual lore or not, it's just what happened on the show once)
Definitely not based in actual lore but not much in supernatural truly is 😂 still a great show though

You guys should check out the Lost Boys of Pickering!! Unsolved for decades.
Halloween is my favorite holiday every year 🎃🎃🎃
Same 🎃🍁🍂🖤🧡💜💚❤️💀👻☠️🕷🕸🦇🧛♀️😈🔮🌕🐈⬛🏚
In the ancient times people actually carve pumpkins in their scary faces. True story.
Anyone (besides me) watch "The Halloween Tree"? I love it! Lots of historical Halloween facts and the late; great Leonard Nimoy as the voice of Mr. Carapace Clavicle Moundshroud. 😁
My husband is doing the best he can, with all his meds and heart transplant. I am sitting here and watching my son. I am not going to hurt my son.
