Welcome to Isofar, a wild land severe in its beauty. The Isofarian people take great pride in their ability to flourish among the hostile wildlife and cruel elements of their mountainous home. As a member of the Isofarian guard, life is never dull. You try to keep the peace among your fellow Isofarians (a never-ending job), as well as deal with constant threats from the aggressive Falmund Empire to the south. But now, the old patterns are shifting. New forces are at work that will challenge the very underpinnings of reality. You will guide eight different Isofarian Guards throughout 5 interweaving campaigns as they deal with a power that threatens not only Isofar, but the entire world. In The Isofarian Guard, you will travel throughout the cities and wildernesses of Isofar on a beautifully illustrated world map, fight off enemies using a unique and highly customizable battle system, and use your wits to talk your way out of sticky situations. As you forge important alliances, opportunities will arise for you to craft stronger gear, gain new powers, and step into the destiny you were called to." *Media Inquiries: rollingsologamer@gmail.com* *Want to support the channel? Lovely showcase, Adam! Thank you for doing this!!! Was nice to follow along with your detailed description on what you are doing, how it works and the occasional reminder of certain actions you took! Keep up the nice work! 😊
Thanks so much! Means a lot to me. 😄 I put a lot of time in with my playthroughs, so it’s always great to hear feedback from my community. Have a great day!
Enemies do not have a max health; they can heal above their initial health value. So at 31:40 the boss would have healed to 21. And again at 35:10, it would go up to 24. (Caused me some problems in Chapter 2 when I first realised this). I got trashed by this encounter first time I played it. Had to spend some time boosting my characters before trying again. At 34:40 The "Last Resort" ability is based on the Broken Plough Soldier's own health, not the target's health (confirmed by the designer). Didn't make any difference this time, but will at other times.
Indeed. My thoughts exactly. We did pretty good for what we had but some more battles, crafting and some character tree advancement to get Alek up a couple notches. Thanks for watching! 😄
I think I'll wait until the final version lands as I'd like my content to be evergreen for it. Although I may change my mind on that as I'm interested in what updated rules come out of STALKER too. :)
Do you think more exploring the map during the Exploration Phase, to earn more Lux, Sil, and resources to allow powering up would have helped? I recall you were more or less going strait to/from locations and bypassing encounters/events.
100% As I was playing and filming I was more aggressive in my moving through the story. However, when you play you may encounter more battles (or choose to) and go off on side quests and side jobs which would have a positive impact for this boss battle!
Smoke bomb evade don't go into your bag I think it says "gain evade" and not "put 2 evade in each bag" which means it is instant so it sort of buys you a free round of not being able to get hit. Unless that changed with the 2nd edition.
Also for next time remember that Poison will get through all defense so turning Alek's potion around to be able to dole out potion is a great way to knock him down!
100%! Was aiming to do that but the round where I was hit with poison from the guards and boss got me good. Wasn’t able to swing Alek’s cards around fast enough. Next time though! 😄
@@RollingSolo you mentioned putting it on the bag the first time when opting to raise Grigory’s defense instead of spending the AP to smoke bomb. He would have lived but to be honest, I think without better gear that wouldn’t have saved you but another round or two lol. Better luck on the next go!
Ya, that was a slip of the tongue at that moment haha. Glad I was able to show it at least. It would have certainly given me another couple rounds. Think you’re right that the boss would still have gotten me but the boss would likely be under health…likely lol

That’s correct Danny! See the pinned comment that. Wouldn’t have changed the outcome haha. Thanks for watching and good eye! 👍🏼
Thanks to you i ordered the re-print. Can't wait to play this. Do both guards really the the green AP at 30:30 ? The card doesn't say that.
Awesome! Glad this one clicks for you. 👏🏼
I may have to double check that, not sure off hand!
Thanks for the video. It looks for sure that you are not well equipped. You want a better weapon for alek and armor for both.
Indeed. My thoughts exactly. We did pretty good for what we had but some more battles, crafting and some character tree advancement to get Alek up a couple notches. Thanks for watching! 😄
Thanks for video, seems wicked heavy game. Speaking of crowdfunded, will you replay m1 or play m2 of Stalker when the updated rules comes?

That’s correct! I use a smoke bomb in the video and show that the green evasion chips go into the positive effects area. 🙂
