As a Turk, I think Yerevan can set a great example for the architecture in our cities. While its population is growing and the demand for housing is increasing, the architectural style of each building, regardless of age or the budget it was built on is consistent. They are not too posh, over-the-top and fancy, yet they also aren’t lifeless shells that devoid of features. Also I love how the whole city is shaped like a spiral

As an Armenian from Canada, I would highly recommend if you are Armenian or not to visit this beautiful country! Very nice and hospitable people, stunning nature as you can see on this video and dont get me started on how well the food taste! Hopefully I will return in a few years!

This video has pretty much fulfilled its purpose: It has made me, a 36 year old German guy, want to visit Armenia!
The video is absolutely stunning! I would love to at least visit Yerevan: I.E: go to the museums, eat Armenian cuisine, visit the genocide memorial, use the metro, and check out the views over the city all the way to the horizon to Ararat.
Armenia is both very local in its culture, but it is also a hidden gem of European culture, an "outpost" at the extreme edge so to speak. I'd like to call Armenia this way (positively!): "Armenia - Europe's favorite outpost!"

My country finally recognized the genocide, which had been a topic in Germany for a long time.
Armenia was so sadly reduced to its current small state.
But I am an optimist - I would like Armenia to be a bullwark of "western" culture in that area, along with Georgia.
Stay strong - and hospitable.
Always remember: The truth is on your side and many people remember it, even in Western Europe.
Even though many Germans don't know much about Armenian culture, language and history, the genocide IS well known. There was widespread sympathy after our (otherwise shitty) government recognized the atrocities. And it was a subtle and symbolic "middle finger" towards both Erdogan and the Turkish government as a whole from our perspective.
We are really very appreciated for your kind words. Thank you very much. We are very happy to have a such a person in this world. Who likes and supports Armenia and Armenians. Hope you will come Armenia and see it with all its colors and splendour :)
