In old era of Thailand (1950-1980, we had a central coffee place in every village around Thailand. That coffee place was like a community meeting place. We ate Pa Tong Go with the old fashioned Thai coffee in the tin can. The coffee was so rich, hot and creamy with condensed milk!

That market has different vendors sometimes, there was a “taiyaki” vendor from time to time. Taiyaki is a Japanese snack that is a waffle batter pastry in the shape of a fish filled with red bean, green tea, chocolate or custard. Sometimes there are vendors selling big meat ribs- try that in the morning! The best thing I like for breakfast are the fruit carts where they cut up the fruits for you. The one fruit you should try in Thailand is the pomelo- sweet and slightly tart. A bit hard to find outside the pricey fruit sections in supermarkets but there are locations near to this location in Silom.

Green Coconut dessert Thai called "ขนมครกใบเตยKanom Krok Bai Toey" Bai Toey means pandan leaves. Grilled bananas that you eat. It is a Silver bluggoe banana Thai call "กล้วยหักมุก Kluay Huk Mook". This banana has a sweet and sour taste. The reason why he grills it to reduce the sourness to make it more sweet. People who have studied cooking will know that if the sourness is directly heated. The sourness will disappear. If it is lemon, it will change from sour to bitter. So when this type of banana is grilled So it makes bananas sweeter. And the drink you eat Its blue color is butterfly pea juice mixed with honey. If you squeeze a lemon into it, it will change its color from blue to purple. And the red juice is Roselle juice. And finally, I have a secret about Patonggo. that you may not yet know to tell you If you go to the Patonggo store You will see that many shops have 2 shapes of Patonggo.
