'57 Eldorado Brougham, the most beautiful Cadillac ever! IMO!!!
Truly the most beautiful Cadillac ever built.
rp carrier Yes. I fully agree. Even better than the 58. Clean lines, not drowned in chrome. Just enough. Perfect balance.
WOW! I swear of all my years of loving cars, I have never seen a Cadillac this beautiful. I was born one year before this debuted and I just saw this model today for the first time!!! Where TF have I been? I am going to pursue one of these babies until I get one. Maybe. We'll see. Hey! Even my wife would love this one.
Wow! What a great country we use to be.
Ed Waggoner Sr. I know right?
Make Cadillac great again...PLEASE!
Best looking Cadillac and gorgeous colour!
The power windows are faster than my new Buick
the windows were Vacuum powered , had the engine not been revvin so high they would have been slower
They happen to be the fasted operating windows ever made.
That's not a car, it is art.......simply perfection :))
Back when gm actually put concepts into production
If some one would just tap on the gas it would idle at normal RPM.
Yes,absolutely.
stupid
About $13,470 USD in 1957. Pure luxury.
Want a Rolls-Royce was about 9,000
this has got to be one of the cleanest nicest 57 58 Eldorado broughams I have ever seen
Timothy Cote so it would seem
This is what i call it "the art of cars made" .
Mx favorite Car of all Time!!!
When I see cars like this, it makes me wonder what happened to the auto industry, especially the American auto industry. This Caddy represents pure art when a Cadillac meant you were the top of the line! Heck a Rolls as wonderful as they were couldn't match this at the time period. This is as good as it gets pure Americana. Wow just absolutely amazing.
Wow, I dont even like American cars, but Ive fallen in love with that one. Its as iconic as the Citroen DS. You can see Cadillac was really a luxury marque back then
The more I learn about this car...I know I'll never own one.
Absolutely gorgeous.
Dream car
I've been lucky enough to drive one of these models, but in white in the UK, WHAT A fantastic car to drive!!!
In the UK, the "needle would come off of the record" when it would pass by over there....here too for that matter!
I have two dream cars: The '57 Lincoln Mark II & the '57/'58 Eldorado Brougham.
Handbuilt masterpieces. The pinnacle of automotive design and engineering.
"If I were a rich man! Ya ba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dum."
What a beast!
Beautiful Art Deco design. This is a masterpiece.
NOTHING OUT CLASSES A CADILLAC !!!!!!
Except a lincoln
Scott Ratliff what planet are you from, making a statement like that.
Sure do envy whoever ends up with that gem. I would be awesome to show at antique car shows and as a member of the Cadillac LaSalle Club, have to say it is indeed a potential show winner
That caddy is wicked!!!!! I wish I could afford one!!!!
I want this car for a Sunday drive. And that watch too! Go well together. 💁🏼♂️
Don’t know how many of these were made or are still around but I love this style and plush.
A symbol of success
이택건 the Marilyn Monroe of cars!...one of kind sexy car!...NEVER again!
Got to get drunk and get pretty before you ride in this Cadillac. The original unrivaled playa mobile. BMW,LEXUS, MERCEDES, JAGUAR, Aint got nothing on this CADILLAC.
You mean Rolls-Royce and Bentley ;-)
...one of the most stunning expressions of the Harley Earle design group at GM.
It's suicide 4-door design would later be mimicked by the Lincoln/Mercury Division at Ford for the 1961-69 Lincoln Continentals.
This was also the first American car to feature an auto trunk-pulldown latching mechanism;and a feature that was shared with Imperial by Chrysler; a brushed stainless steel roof...
This lovely and original example will certainly excite a number of high-end collectors worldwide...just anazing!!
Imagine traveling to California down route 66 in that 😎
Either the camera can't pick up the sound or the car actually sounds like an airplane
I wonder if they made a 2018 model what would it look like and what options would it have and also how much would it cost?
WOW!!!! Very, very, very nice. The Caddy of the Caddys and the Marilyn Monroe of Cadillacs, EVER!!!!
WowWow my car just love the look very beautiful amazing looking car wow
UNA FANTÁSTICA BELLEZA, DE CROMO Y SUNTUOSIDAD... ¡ AQUELLAS DORADAS ÉPOCAS EN LA QUE TODOS LOS AUTOS ERAN DIFERENTES, LOS UNOS A LOS OTROS !
Did you find this car down in New Orleans Louisiana if so I know the guy who originally owned it also doesn't have a windsor in it 3-2 Barrel carburetors
Just out of curiosity does anyone know what this sold for? TY
was it true that some Biarritz Eldorado Cadillacs of that same year also had optional air suspension as well as heated front seats? this car is a beautiful piece of art. I like this over the continental mark2
+Eric Haley Yes it had all those options minus heated seats. If I had $75,000 to spend it would be one of these Cadillac's and NOT anything new!!!
@@starxlr7863 not sure $75K would be enough though.
My friend had a 58 Eldo Brougham and it did have adjustable air suspension that you could set almost on the ground or about 2 inches from the ground !!!
Stunning car!
I think what you are talking about is the reign of Harley Earl/ Bill Mitchell. Without demonstrative design influence/leadership, GM lost it's way.
Oh, wow! How lucky I learned about this... Just NINE YEARS LATE!
beautiful car i like it my dreams
I had two friends one had a beautiful 58 brougham, and my other friend had 3 !!!, one. stock but nice, the other was originally owned by Frank Sinatra and it was mildly customized, and a 3rd. parts car. in the Late 60's, Sure wish I had one !!!😃😃😃
First off, It's finished in Lake Placid Blue. Secondly, It is a 365 Engine. 351s Came in Mustangs buddy.2 Mistakes in 22 seconds.
Oh yeah forgot to ask, was the engine on fast idle in that clip? It looked and sounded like it.
beautiful
I usally like the Caddy from the late 70s and the 80s but this thing is beutiful.
oh man that was nice!
My dream car.
Did he say baby blue or navy blue? It's neither...
The wheels, the fins, the dagmars it's glorious. Geez the windows went down fast. Not like today.
Excellent!!!!
I had one the exact color. Sold it in 1987
Stunning. The colour is perfect inside and out, too. Lovely car. The cost of running it at today's petrol prices might mean it spends more time off the road than on it, though. Still... I'd be happy just to park it in the drive and sit in it all day!! Maybe pump the accelerator a few times! Vrmm,, vrrrrrmmmmm!!
I wonder how much sold for
very cute car 👌👌👌👌👌
WOW!
What else is there to write?
very very beautiful... and very high tech (for its time) too! even my car doesn't have 4 power windows!
But what are those metal cups for? Drink driving?
Great!
amazing what you could get for thirteen grand back then
OMG I WANT!!
Now this is a fucking car man. I want. I want badly.
It has more accessories than some current ones
I'd have to start smoking again if I bought this car. There's no way I could sit in this sexy beast without a cigarette, sunglasses, and a scarf around my hair.
'57s had single head lights. '58s had duel head lights?
He said that the engine is a 351? Is that a Ford motor in a GM?
If someone would just tap the gas the engine would idle to normal RPM.
I did not know the Brougham had a rear suicide door.
When American made cars were the desire of the whole world.
When Cadillac means something really luxury, this model in black is arguably the most beautiful Cadillac ever.
GM go killing Cadillac trought the years progressively.
Standard Of The World, you can believe in this words seeing this car.
Today also called " Cheapdillac" "Caniggah" " Crapdillac" or "Chevillac"
Um, sir? This ain't no baby blue. This is droolin' cerulean!
It looks like a 57 Chevy brother
That’s a 58’ because of the double headlights
Unbelievable how this car went for a whopping $13,074.00 when it was new, that was like $120,000.00 in 2010
It sounds like an industrial park
Hi your car is so beautiful but you made a mistake should be take off tire cover and after that make move .
If this is a '57 why does it have dual headlight...did some Caddy '57s have dual?...
Only this model Cadillac had the dual headlights in 57 and the 58 like this one looked the same, no changes. Biarritz is the top of the line. A masterpiece. 58 offered the Executive model which had a stainless steel roof and only came in midnight blue and the reg model like the one in this video.
This has the stainless steel roof. Yeah it's a 58. Very rare ✌
I like those wheels. Not hub caps!
👍🏻❤️😊
With inflation today this Car would cost brand new in 1957 $130,470 USD
PLEASE turn the car off! All we hear is the sound of a big fan. The roar of a beautiful car is only enjoyable if you are there!!! Thank you.
That aside, she’s wonderful!!!
It's no car, it is realy monster!
Cadillac lost $10.000 on every one of these babies ...
In 1968 my friend paid $2,800. for a 1958 Eldo Brougham, in very nice condition, it came with adjustable air suspension, but the Firestone air bags leaked down in about 6 hours. It Had a 365 cid engine with 2, 4 barrel wcfb carburetors, that's when gas was still. $0.19 cents a gallon !!!, We cruised Sunset and Hollywood blvds on the weekends and hung out at Tiny Naylors drive in, at Sunset and LaBrea. Hollywood, California, fun times 😃😃😃
carros do elvis plresley
$75K todd checkoff
nice dagmars
How can that be a 57 with quad headlights?
$13k = $100k today.
Robert Drake 200k+ now
That was when a Cadillac WAS a CADILLAC!.... Nowdays all cars look alike!...and nothing special, even the new "Cadillacs" are BORING!!...THIS WAS A CADILLAC!
Interior looks like hell ! Cosmetically abused and inconsistent with suspect mileage !
It’s not a ‘57, it’s a ‘58
I thought so at first also because of the dual headlights. But then I remembered that the Eldorado models often had features of the next year's common models. I liked the final placement on the 57, on following years, the fins looked like an afterthought and just added at the last minute. I was a junior in high school in 57 and I remember fondly seeing one.
I could have bought one of these for 5k in the eighties. Sadly didn't, oh well...................
what is all that noise my GOD I cant stan it bye bye
What is with this engine? It sounds like a diesel locomotive! I would rather have a Continental Mark II, thank you.
It was running on fast idle. Yes, it was rather noisy even with that taken into consideration.
+michael cerza Idle is set way too high, sounds like a helicopter.
+michael cerza It's probably not a matter of being set too high. Cars with carburetors had an automatic choke and as the engine warmed up the rpm"s would climb. You had to goose the gas pedal a little and the engine would idle down to normal. I think they just started it up and let her run on high idle. You could damage the transmission and engine if you were to drop it in drive at this high an rpm.
+michael cerza That was probably the cooling fan clutch that was in high speed.
