- Big congratulations to Bob and Scott Cook of Tapout Tuning for resetting the ATS-V 1/4 mile record this past weekend in Texas. not o ly did Bob manage to reset the 1/4 record, he also set the 60ft record with a 1.29 60ft, and managed to do a killer wheelie. #staytuned lots more to come. we ain't seen the last of Bob and his amazing 2016 ATS-V

Tapout tunings brown belt performance package that includes caddy issues upgraded stock frame turbos, meth, 3350lbs race weight with driver. Car also has nitrous but was not used due to a failure to activate and a shredded accessory belt that took out a few wires and hoses ending his chance to run again.

@@1992bthomas the black belt package with upgraded turbos, injectors, sticky rubber, flex fuel and flux capacitor will run a negative -1.5s 60-ft with a speed of 75mph before it goes back to the future and completes the 1/4 when you and your opponent were barely staging the double yellow! Wild! 👍

Why the four door and not the coupe? I have a 4 door but I’m curious to know why the record holder didn’t go with the lighter vehicle.
Because the coupes are ugly, and there isn't much of a weight difference between the 2.
Plus this record holder is already gutted. It's a dedicated track car.
What kinda trans/drive train parts do you need to upgrade on the autos to run 9's
Nothing. The 8l90 on these cars are pretty strong from factory. As long as proper maintenance is don't to them.
