Exactly right. When the Stones were inducted into the RRHOF the first person Keith Richards thanked was Ian Stewart. Mick thanked him as well. But Keith said he still felt like he worked for Ian because it was his band. And probably Brian Jones was the next big piece but due to his issues Mick and Keith took control of the group. Which worked out great I suppose but you’re right, the contributions of Ian rarely come up in these docs.

I was born in 1951 so I have lived through these times , Mick and Keith have allways been the stones, yes Brian started the band but Brian was a very selfish individual, he had kids with women with no intention of staying with them, that is selfish, its easy to put something on it, he was also not turning up and when he did he was zonked out, so of course he had to go, tell me one company that would pay anyone to just come and go as they please with not a thought to the problems there selfishness causes to others, it was a joint decision to ask Brian to leave the stones, but he was given every opportunity to sort himself out, he new anyway where the talent was in the stones and I think that made him more than a bit jealous of others in the band
