Good morning Peter, on Saturday March 11th at the follower meeting in the Netherlands you asked - "how can I improve my videos?" In my opinion, you should buy a good camera with a stabilizer to improve the quality and smoothness of the picture, as well as a microphone on the body to improve the sound. The video format is very cool, I don't think it should be changed.
Showing a before-after comparison would also improve the videos. Sometimes it is done but not consistently. And of course follow-up videos as promised for the trees in this video are really great too.
Tagging onto this: I think many people love that his videos are genuine, no weird youtuber persona stuff happening, no clickbait titles and frames, it's refreshing to just watch someone who does what he loves.
Great vidio, All aways nice to see your work, looking forward to spring and seeing what my Yard layout bonzi weathered the winter. Thanks for the coffee...
Another inspiring video from the master again I and I’m sure other viewers get so inspired by your videos you are the reason I got into bonsai I’m currently 24 years old and I’m in the process of growing a black pine and a wisteria two beautiful trees in my opinion thank you for advice and the amazing lessons you bring to the bonsai community you are a living legend ❤
Yes! Yes! I would very much appreciate maintenance of a sharper image which would happen with the help of an image stabilization feature on the video camera. Even with the smooth and slow movement of a skilled video camera operator, there is still blurring of the video image. A lapel microphone would be welcome to make the sound quality more consistent.
@Morgan Allen somebody has to do the dirty job. And then others can criticise the one doing it because they was afraid to do it themselves....also in slightly sarcastic ways.
@@morelcultivation9339 I think it's ok to point these things out, so long as it's not done in a mean spirited way. We all could improve of these things and it's so easy to make a mistake
Great inspirational work. Peter, its coming up on that time of year to start thinking about feeding. I've heard that on some trees like Tridents and Japanese maples, that you can hold off on fertilizing until early summer ( here around June ) to get much shorter nodes for tighter ramification. Any truth to this? Do you have separate schedules for feeding deciduous trees, pines, and junipers?
Peter, curious why you would not go with a guy wire on the top portion of the black literati pine instead of more wire? Seems like you’d get more bang for your buck by guy wiring back to get more bend over time? Just curious! Thanks for your videos.
How does one figured how much wire you need to wire a tree/branch? I think someone said add 1/3 more than the length of the tree/branch. Does anyone know if this is true?
The first tree looks like a contemporary dancer, just about to leap up.
Yay! Back to basics with Peter.
That first juniper was very nice Peter.
I love the juniper you changed from cascade to upright. A simple but effective improvement. Thats a true artist
Experience is one thing but there is something beyond that usually people call it God gift and you have it Peter 🌱
Watching somebody creating beauty is nice - every time. Thx, Mr. Chan!

Sound would be great way to improve like the mic with the fluff on outside shots or tours, it will decrease the plane sounds too
I like your saying the camera never lies.... true I always take pictures of my stained glass in progress as I see things my eye never seem to pick up

Great inspiration as always! Yews defiantly sulk yet fairly indestructible!
If Peter Chan has room for improvement, I have a mansion at my disposal!! 😂
You are my hero ❤
I can’t help thinking that first bonsai looks like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
It resembles a caligraphy stroke!!!
Yes! Yes!

at least a third probably slightly more, better to have a bit to cut off until you quickly gain some experience
@@howardmckeown7187 Thank you!
That first tree is just tortured.
I kinda agree. Too spindly and whippy for my taste

"Room for Improvement - Applies to bonsai too" (not "to")
