World famous race car driver Bobby Deerfield (Pacino) visits an injured friend in a Swiss hospital and meets a very inquisitive woman (Keller) in the commissary. Sydney Pollack (They Shoot Horses, Don't They, Tootsie) directed this romantic drama from a screenplay by Alvin Sargent (Ordinary People) based on the 1961 novel "Heaven Has No Favorites" by German novelist Erich Maria Remarque.
