Genetically you are most likely not getting past 177, but if you keep up the exercises, staying active, and having the proper diet, you can probably bump up to a 179cm
Height is mostly based off genetics. But if you have noticed growth or slight in the past couple months, or think you’re still in puberty then 180 is definitely possible. I tower over my parents so I’m one of them tall kiddos short parentos.

My height right after wakeup is Almost 170.5 cm 1 hour later it will be 169.5 cm by afternoon to evening it's almost 168.5 cm This is the measurment i got when measured by myself several times using an aresol can and some boxes standing back against the wall. Yesterday i went to a hospital, i got measured by the nurse using a stuff called stature meter she said my height is 167 cm it was in the evening around 5.30 pm So what height could i claim please say
Big difference from 167 to 168.5, so I'd do another measurement at home, maybe on a different wall and take time to do it. Always a chance a hospital recorded measurement is wrong.

Does measuring ourselves face to face to the wall by putting a upside down stool in the wall and then slowly and carefully putting it in our head top then seeing with a measure tape how much it reaches a good way to measure ourselves accurately ? Also im french-tunisian so my grammar isnt good
It might impede your ability to stand at your tallest. So if you were measuring whilst injured, I think there's a chance of a slight undermeasurement as you might not be able to stretch as tall as normal.
@@CaiqueSantos-bl2tqMorning height probably isn't the most accurate as you would shrink quite rapidly afterwards. I'd say that afternoon height is the most accurate to be honest. If you can measure at least 5+ hours out of bed, and properly then claim that. If you want to be extremely fair then claim evening, but it honestly doesn't matter.

Most of his listings are towards afternoon, typically a small fraction above their low. Just subtract 1/8 or ¼ inch from their height and that’s about their before bed height

@@Subiwu He lists all of them at their "low" height. He is always _very_ vague about whether or not he lists them at their noon or evening height, but as far as I know it's evening.

Rob, I use the aersol can method as shown in one of your videos (except I use a thick hardcover book) when measuring and I consistently get just over 185cm in the evening (8-9pm at the earliest). Yet when I'm using casual and less accurate methods, such as putting the metal end of the measuring tape under the left side with my right foot and having a guess where the top of my head reaches on the tape through the mirror, I get 182cm-184cm, never higher. The last time I got a proper measurement done with a stadiometer I was 16 and I got 184.2cm exactly (which is 6'0 1/2), so I doubt a 1/2 inch increase through the years is not that outrageous, yet I'm getting these readings for some reason. I thought usually when people utilise these innacurate methods, they get a higher and exaggerated figure than the height they typically should seem. I've used your method a myriad of times and I still get 73 inches barefoot. I do suffer from posture issues (hyperlordosis) so I guess it would be a challenge to stand straighter while holding a measuring tape? I'm very unsure to be honest.
just say you 6 ft 1 inch dont worry too much about height past 6ft mark, you have other things more important to worry.. reduce unnecessary decision fatigue
even when you in outer space you grow taller cause no gravity involved..in theory you already past much higher than your current height just gravity pulls you down compressed the spine

If you drop to 184cm, then it's a round up claiming 6ft 1...but I doubt anybody is going to think you aren't near it, and those who inflate their height will think you are 6ft 1-2.

If I wake up at 5’9 and hold 5’8.5 till evening and lowest height I reach ever is 5’8.25 (usually after working for 8+hours or after a very intense workout) how much of a stretch is it to claim about 5’9 ?
I’m also 17 and I expect to grow about 1-2cm more. My final prediction is that I’ll grow to 5’9.75 as my morning height and 5’9 at my absolute lowest by the time I’m 19
@@jordanr6174I was solid 174cm range at 17 but now at 24 I’m 176cm range in the evening. I claim 5’9, I’m closer to 5’9.5 but I round down. I wake up at 177.8-178cm, so 5’10. My advice to you is lots of exercise. Not only can you put on height but also try and maximise your posture with exercising. Last year at 23 I was around a 1/4 inch shorter but once I started running and weightlifting, I gained that fraction more. Whether it my last bit of growth or just gaining better posture, I’m now the tallest I’ve ever been. So if you want to be a 5’9er, make it easier by exercising hard!

@@professionalbreather62 Shrinkage is different for everyone, but adding ¾ inch to most celebs to get their “morning height” on the website is quite common. If we wanted to get more specific then 5/8s might sound more appropriate for someone with similar stats to urs
@@Subiwu so really the rule is moreso about 1/4 inch over height just before bed would be listed height? rather than a specific amount below morning height, because as you said everyone's shrinkage is different. and surely adding 3/4 inch to listed height to get morning height assumes that the person shrinks a full inch during the day, as listed height will be a bit higher than height just before bed
@@professionalbreather62 Well that’s on Rob, from what Ik he tends to list towards low (evening). Ur evening is 175.3-175.5 which is a smidge above 5’9. So 5’9 flat wouldn’t be a list. Either 5’9 1/8 or 5’9 ¼ would be a listing exc I’m not sure if Rob still uses eighths so I assumed 5’9 ¼ would be ur listing. The adding 3/4 inch rule is outdated imo though, but many people do that

They could be 5’10 in the morning and claim morning height… but for a fair 5’10 measurement I’d say a 5’10 claim their morning height should be strong 5’10

@@planetjupiter2551 Possibly, when u measure with a stadiometer, stand straight and tap the bar to where its at the top of ur head, no hair in the way. But don’t tap hard or too much, it might compress ur posture a bit. So u might’ve lost 1/8 or maybe even 1/4 an inch by doing that.

I measured myself 2 hours after waking (7-9) up at 183.7 during this time I managed to go to the swimming pool which is about 20 minutes drive from my house and swam for about an hour and came back. What height should i claim?
Swimming actually takes a lot of pressure off your spine, so you may have been artificially taller than you normally would after 2 hours. I'd claim 183 if I were you.
If I am 187-188cm most of the day should I say I’m about 6’2. 5 hours and 20 minutes after waking up and being very active like lifting weight and strolling the height measurement was 187.5cm. Well in cm I usually say 187-188cm but in the imperial should I say about 6’2? Technically my real height is 187.5cm so saying about 6’2 is ok right?
@@qweewq2648 I’m from Albania. In Albania I was towering over almost everyone I came across. Guys were like 170-173cm on average with the tall side to be 180-184cm and the very tall side 185-190cm. You would rarely see someone over 190cm in Albania. Here now i live in Greece but you see very tall guys like 195-200cm daily. At first it was weird because I wasn’t too look up to people that much. Of course I knew some people in Albania who were like very tall 195cm or even 200cm but as I said it was rare there. Here you see 200cm guys all the time. But is just this region though. When I went to different parts of Greece I noticed that the tall dudes were 187-192cm rather than the city I live which are like 187-201cm (I would say a 10% of guys you see is in that range). So basically now I tower over the majority but a 10% of people towers over me. In Albania I was rarely towered over by people
@@jakephilips123 Vast majority of boys stop growing by 17-18, when their growth plates have fused. I grew 1/2" at 19. Any increase beyond 19 is very rare.

Nope. 7 or 8 minimum. I get 6 hours a lot, and I'm around 1/8" shorter than my peak morning height. Low is still the same though.
Yeah about 7-8 is more likely to get you near full morning height. You might be 2-3mm shy of full height with 5 hours sleep.

It might impede your ability to stand at your tallest. So if you were measuring whilst injured, I think there's a chance of a slight undermeasurement as you might not be able to stretch as tall as normal.

I'd say that afternoon height is the most accurate to be honest. If you can measure at least 5+ hours out of bed, and properly then claim that.
If you want to be extremely fair then claim evening, but it honestly doesn't matter.

Most of his listings are towards afternoon, typically a small fraction above their low. Just subtract 1/8 or ¼ inch from their height and that’s about their before bed height

Rob, I use the aersol can method as shown in one of your videos (except I use a thick hardcover book) when measuring and I consistently get just over 185cm in the evening (8-9pm at the earliest). Yet when I'm using casual and less accurate methods, such as putting the metal end of the measuring tape under the left side with my right foot and having a guess where the top of my head reaches on the tape through the mirror, I get 182cm-184cm, never higher. The last time I got a proper measurement done with a stadiometer I was 16 and I got 184.2cm exactly (which is 6'0 1/2), so I doubt a 1/2 inch increase through the years is not that outrageous, yet I'm getting these readings for some reason. I thought usually when people utilise these innacurate methods, they get a higher and exaggerated figure than the height they typically should seem. I've used your method a myriad of times and I still get 73 inches barefoot. I do suffer from posture issues (hyperlordosis) so I guess it would be a challenge to stand straighter while holding a measuring tape? I'm very unsure to be honest.
just say you 6 ft 1 inch dont worry too much about height past 6ft mark, you have other things more important to worry.. reduce unnecessary decision fatigue
even when you in outer space you grow taller cause no gravity involved..in theory you already past much higher than your current height just gravity pulls you down compressed the spine

@@jordanr6174I was solid 174cm range at 17 but now at 24 I’m 176cm range in the evening. I claim 5’9, I’m closer to 5’9.5 but I round down. I wake up at 177.8-178cm, so 5’10. My advice to you is lots of exercise. Not only can you put on height but also try and maximise your posture with exercising. Last year at 23 I was around a 1/4 inch shorter but once I started running and weightlifting, I gained that fraction more. Whether it my last bit of growth or just gaining better posture, I’m now the tallest I’ve ever been. So if you want to be a 5’9er, make it easier by exercising hard!

6'0 evening height is enough to suffice as the start of tall imo. Even a 6'0 in the afternoon could be on the verge of that.
Of course you can claim 6'0. We shrink around 2 cm and you would be classified as a solid 6'0 guy, which is definitely tall.

Yes u would likely have a 5’9 ¼ listing, ur shrinkage seems to be normal. Typical shrinkages for most people are between 1.5-2cm

@@professionalbreather62 Shrinkage is different for everyone, but adding ¾ inch to most celebs to get their “morning height” on the website is quite common. If we wanted to get more specific then 5/8s might sound more appropriate for someone with similar stats to urs

and surely adding 3/4 inch to listed height to get morning height assumes that the person shrinks a full inch during the day, as listed height will be a bit higher than height just before bed

Either 5’9 1/8 or 5’9 ¼ would be a listing exc I’m not sure if Rob still uses eighths so I assumed 5’9 ¼ would be ur listing. The adding 3/4 inch rule is outdated imo though, but many people do that

@@planetjupiter2551 Possibly, when u measure with a stadiometer, stand straight and tap the bar to where its at the top of ur head, no hair in the way. But don’t tap hard or too much, it might compress ur posture a bit. So u might’ve lost 1/8 or maybe even 1/4 an inch by doing that.

I measured myself 2 hours after waking (7-9) up at 183.7 during this time I managed to go to the swimming pool which is about 20 minutes drive from my house and swam for about an hour and came back.

Swimming actually takes a lot of pressure off your spine, so you may have been artificially taller than you normally would after 2 hours. I'd claim 183 if I were you.

If I am 187-188cm most of the day should I say I’m about 6’2. 5 hours and 20 minutes after waking up and being very active like lifting weight and strolling the height measurement was 187.5cm. @@qweewq2648 I’m from Albania. In Albania I was towering over almost everyone I came across. Guys were like 170-173cm on average with the tall side to be 180-184cm and the very tall side 185-190cm. You would rarely see someone over 190cm in Albania. Here now i live in Greece but you see very tall guys like 195-200cm daily. At first it was weird because I wasn’t too look up to people that much. Of course I knew some people in Albania who were like very tall 195cm or even 200cm but as I said it was rare there. Here you see 200cm guys all the time. But is just this region though. When I went to different parts of Greece I noticed that the tall dudes were 187-192cm rather than the city I live which are like 187-201cm (I would say a 10% of guys you see is in that range). So basically now I tower over the majority but a 10% of people towers over me. In Albania I was rarely towered over by people

@@jakephilips123 Vast majority of boys stop growing by 17-18, when their growth plates have fused. I grew 1/2" at 19. Any increase beyond 19 is very rare.
