His pronunciation of Maori words was spot on & he was very respectful. I hope knowing this has made the people of Mexico proud! Much love to the mamahs ❤

I'm alright with canned refried beans if they're in the background, but if they're a prominent part of the dish it's a hard pass. They have to make the beans acidic to preserve them during the canning process. They taste completely different from freshly-made refried beans. Plus a lot of the canned products don't use lard. Rosarita, for example, uses apple cider vinegar to lower the pH. Would you ever put apple cider vinegar in your homemade beans? And for fat they use coconut oil and sunflower oil, which is great if you're serving vegetarians. There's also rice fiber in it. Don't know what that's about.

May I suggest a new taste test video: Have the moms sample a variety of Southwest style, Chipotle style and spicy bottled salad dressings to see which ones they like best. There are lots of them out there. I like Hidden Valley Chipotle Ranch.

We need more mexican moms like Xochil. I like the other moms but they are super americanized so they usuallly rate certain things higher. I know for a fact my Mexican Tias from Mexico would rate most of this stuff like a 1 or 2 and thats to be nice. Lol like i said love these moms but this is more like Mexican-Americans rate TexMex
