I think the T4 was a prototype that was made earlier in the development lifecycle of the speed400. It was deemed to be good enough for launch but Triumph were desperate to make a splash and had to provide premium stuff to compete with its "old fashioned rival" Since RE leaked the guerilla spy shots early Triumph had to scramble hard to push the launch for the more premium 400s up by 12 months. This is the bike that was meant for launch last year, so they're having a tough time justifying it now. They could have priced it close to the hunter but they decided to do the starbucks-mcdonalds thing of making the more premium offering look like the more vfm one.
I feel they want to convey that Bajaj/Triumph had no need to make these changes. If the reduction in cost makes it slightly heavier then let it be. Why change the entire geometry...

When I sat on this T4 and as a person who has been riding scrambler 400x, it feels like I'm sitting on hero honda splendor
took a test ride front suspension is good rear is very jumpy on every speed breaker it justs jumps & was quite uncomfortable
It’s the first time I’m hearing someone say the ability of the bike to change lanes quickly as a negative😅
They are expecting it to not behave as speed 400

We need Shumi & Varun's Colab back
for a new series 😅
