Imazume and Rachel Alucard are broken in the way they can fuck themselves badly if they misuse their broken shit. Arakune makes it so that you jump from being a "weak" normal character into an unlimited character.

When I brought up how downright dreadful it was to fight an Arakune player, someone opted to ask, "Well would you rather fight a Racheal or Carl player instead?"
Hell yeah I would, because at the least I can actually SEE my own character amongst the tricks they pull-
Yup, even if he is not the strongest he is the worst to fight.
People who actually play the game know the pain of fighting 'screen vomit the character' and chars like that in other FGs. The people who don't know will disagree otherwise because they don't have to put with that experience ever.

Not only it's pretty annoying to find enough mid-level Arakune players to practice against, when you do find them in events, they're so unintuitive to deal with, it's miserable.
It's not like I would beat a high-level Arakune on a different character, anyway, so that's probably fine lol
The fact that he can go invisible and teleport around. Mixups that you can't see or react to. That's just foul and vile.

My brother bought this game when it came out, claiming it was the best fighting game created, then played it exactly once. That left me playing single-player alone, and Arakune was the only fun thing I found in that.
I once had a friend when blaz first came out who played arakune and I used rachel. He often argued with me that rachel was the easiest character to win with because she was top tier and I told him lets switch and I will just mash with arakune and he kinda knew how to use rachel. I beat him like 10-0 and he disconnected and unfriended me, real life. We had played against each other in several games too and I kinda viewed him as a real friend.... guess not.

The crossup at 3:29 is also extra gross because of the guard crush bug. You not only have to get the side right, you also need to barrier block it, but in this game if you switch block while pressing barrier, you get a B attack and get counterhit instead. You need to execute very, very carefully to block what are already supremely nasty mixups lol

I was blessed with a best friend that decided to main Arakune when CT dropped.
I'm a blazblue enjoyer, I play casually with my friend. Being able to curse from any combo is not as easy as it seems, and Arakune is one of the most technical character I play. I barely succeed at cursing my opponent when I play Arakune. I'm not hating him, he's one of the "wtf is he doing" kind of character, among with Faust in Guilty Gear. Please, be nice with Arakune :)

I always like the idea of high execution=high reward characters, this video is actually what made me pick up Blazblue Centralfiction, and yes I’m currently maining Arakune.
My friend asked me to get into bbcf, I told him that I value our friendship too much to do that. When he asked what I meant I simply said that Arakune and Rachel are the only characters that appeal to me, he never asked again.
The only good thing about Arakune is when you see him lose a match... Everyone is happy when Arakune loses XD

Arakune is one of the coolest characters in all of fighting games. There is no other character like him anywhere and playing him is like playing a different game than your opponent, it's great.

Man, I agree with this vid title so much. I remember in Continuum Shift iirc, they made it so even if he got hit, the curse would still stay on. I was like wtf?!

Real talk, what is most annoying about him (aside from *EVERYTHING) is that there isn't much expression to him. Every Arakune player plays the same, so you don't get much player identity from him. I can tell Sonfrost from Betadood, Kizzie from ScrubP, Kira from Monarch, Julio from DLZ, Jiv from Edge....not so much from Arakune.

It's already frustrating to fight against capable zoners when you're not at a level where you understand how to get past their projectiles. But Arakune is a menace at all ranges. And it's both boring and stressful to deal with his onsalught of bugs. I already cannot deal with zoners, but this is not a zoner. This is a genuine spam character.
People already curl in the fetal position losing patience fighting against 'traditional' zoners. But Arakune isn't even that. Because for one any decent player would like to keep track of whats happening on screen with the char they are fighting against. But with Arakune its full on screen vomit. The whole curse thing is just cherry on top.
As they say, before you judge the clown, walk a day in his shoes. Arak is frustrating, sure, but so are his inputs, especially try jD juggles gor the first time, it is frustratingly uncooperative with timings between when you can hit your opponent and when it's recovery time.
I've always enjoyed maining Arakune. He's so crazy and insane

I think the biggest problem with Arakune is the shire ammount of visual garbage he puts on the screen i think his gimmik could be made fair and balanced if it was just tuned down a little and made less hard on the eyes...
Arakune as a character is very conditional you need Curse to win if not you die. Which in some semblance is fair honest and balanced.

Having access to a meterless DP also helps ALOT. Since you can do the DP/Barrier OS to force the Arakune player to be more defensive during crossups.

Not perfectly balanced, but in a way that if someone were good with one character, would that player be able to beat another similarly skilled player with his/her own character ??? Balanced in a way that the character strength doesn't negate the player skill ...

I somewhat recently got into these games and oh boy, from the first time I fought Arakune in the story mode, I knew this character was disgusting
He doesn't have shit on third strike yun. At least arakune has a curse lockout once it end. Yun has already built 90% of another genei jin after the first one has ended.

The first time I played BlazBlue I went for Litchi and Arakune because I like weird monsters and Big Tiddie Waifus.
