Dad took me to Frank Baker's 'Attic' for dinner, just to show me Bond's Aston Martin. The food was excellent and the man was larger than life. When he added the Toronado, after Expo 67 in Montreal, we went again. Frank Baker was quite a guy. He may have had 'too much fun' and in the end blew it all, but at one time he ruled the world in Vancouver. Too bad a little more of Jimmy Pattison did rub off on him when they were classmates, but hey, maybe he wouldn't have been the flamboyant entrepreneur he was.
    Gone, but not forgotten.
    RIP - Frank Baker (1922 - 1989)

I use to frequent his restaurant on Cambie around 14th , we always seemed to go on Sunday evening to take in some jazz . This would have been back in the early eighties.
