It captures a glimpse into the lives of the Eastern European grandmothers “babushkas” who are so self reliant.
They never want to be a burden on anymore.
I have spent almost a decade in Eastern Europe and I attest to the fact. They are so welcoming, warm and most of them have a sweet smile on their face just like Bapcha.
I miss this greetings card culture in India.

We are not calling you Asians, so you shouldn't call us Europeans. Basically, this is nonsense calling anybody here European. We are completely different, european countries are on different levels of development and have different cultures and completely different languages. Yes, we have common fundamentals of our culture which are a civilisation of ancient Rome and ancient Greece, but we are really different. Our languages are completely not similar. Polish language, for example, is a Western Slavic language while our neighbours Germans speak in German language which is more similar to English since it is a Germanic language. Italian, French, Spanish and Romanian are Romanic languages. In the east of Europe, they use a different alphabet which is based on Cyrilica (Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Bulgarian and Serbian which are eastern and southern Slavic languages).
Western European countries like the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany are post-colonial countries, which exploited other nations for many centuries. Like UK exploited India for example. Poland never had colonies. German were nazists. Poles were always on the good side of the power. Do you understand now why it is offensive to call us Europeans?
If you call all of us Europeans it is like you would not see the difference between Indian and Japanese, and this is for us a disrespect, as you could suppose.
Yes, I know that there are probably 400 languages in India and many different cultures, but in the end, India is a single state, while there is no such a state as Europe. There is a European Union, but it is not a country, but just a free trade association of countries European countries.
