Eventually a larger channel is going to notice you and realize your content is top notch. They will then shout you out to all their viewers and your channel will explode. I have seen it happen numerous times. Just remember to keep your same format when that happens. We, the viewers don't need to watch several minutes long musical intros full of shooting footage from multiple angles. What we need is what you've been giving us from day one. Top notch information with no b.s. Thanks for all the great content!
Thank you for this video. I had to replace the decocker lever spring on my LTT 92 RDO, which broke in half after only about a year of use, and watching your install process was very helpful. I ordered several spare springs, as it seems like this will be a wear item that requires replacing periodically.
This was the best video out there for putting in the G conversion kit. I just bought a M9A3 and did the G conversion watching your video. Absolutely excellent. Of course I shot a detent and spring across the room, but that was to be expected. Was able to complete the kit in no time. Thanks so much for the video.
Just completed conversion of a M9A1 to decocker only using your video. I had looked at several "how to" videos and this one was the most helpful. Very well done. Thanks!
Just upgraded my M9A1 awhile back with Wilson combat short reach trigger, grips, mag guide,elite2 hammer,13 pound hammer spring, stainless guide rod, oversized mag release.Had the decocker kit but was a little scared to attept it.Your vid helped a lot!Turned a great gun into an awesome gun!Still may send slide to Wilson to have rear battle sight/drill front for fiber optic.Love it!!!
Thanks for the video! Just completed the conversion! This is much easier process than another video that takes out the safety block. This is way more approachable! Great content!
Just installed mine and this video was a zillion percent clearer and faster than the convoluted instructions on Beretta's website. Good job, man! Thanks for making the video available.
I launched both of the bigger detent springs yesterday and searching for them I found a spring from my 590A1 trigger job. From now on Im doing my gunsmithing in a clear storage container with arm hole cutouts.
Thank you so much Mr. Helmsing! I was able to retrofit my 92A1 relatively easily. I bent a paperclip to help push the the new right side lever detent and that got it in place pretty quickly. The only other added step I had to do was turn down a 1/16" punch to the right diameter to remove the two retaining pins on the original right side lever. These seem to be around 0.050" in diameter. Good thing I was replacing the rear sight at the same time so two upgrades in one session.
Nice video! I've done this conversion once and about to do it again on my 92A1. A punch set is a must-have. Some other very helpful items to have on-hand: punch starters, a magnetic bowl, and a magnified lamp like jewelers use. Thanks brother!
When I did mine back in November, I removed the firing pin block safety at the start. This means I didn’t need a third hand. I think I also used the edge of a razor blade to hold that weak side detent down while rotating it past that notch.
I’ve never done anything like this. This video was easy to follow and made the process very smooth (other than the detents wanting to fly everywhere). I converted my M9A3 this morning on the coffee table. It took 20-30 minutes. Patience is key. I’m pretty sure I’m a gunsmith now. Huge thanks for the excellent walk through.
Thanks for the info, very helpful. I overcame the firing pin safety by using a mini binder clip to hold it up out of the way, worked great. Thanks again.
Awesome video. Thanks for the warning about the extra notch on the M9a3. Only lost 1 detent in the process. I wonder what's better, this or a Wilson Combat low profile safety?
Pro tip: just take the firing pin safety stop block out. It’s one less thing to juggle with the punches and WAY easier to remove and replace than the safety lever is! Just do it.
I loved the informational video, thank you. Why the hell you try this with oversized gloves on is beyond me. I got so frustrated watching you do battle with the gloves, before you even GOT TO handling the task in hand. It was exhausting to watch!! I am sure if you wash your hands, the Beretta will be happy.
Great video! after many years carring an m9 i got very comfortable with the Saftey. I just picked up a 92X that has the D mod. Im not sure i preffer it and may want to convert it back to the standard F style. are you aware of a kit to convert from D to F? Thanks
After installing G decocker kit - is it easier to disassemble slide for cleaning? Or same as disassembling slide with manual safety? Or more difficult?
Two questions. Will this same kit work on the 92A1? And, do you have Beretta's Part Number? (I'm not having luck finding the kit on their website. Thank you
I recently did this conversion. When you activate your decocker do you feel the detents activate in the downward position or is the entire motion smooth all the way down and up?
The finish on that pistol looks a lot like what was on a Beretta 96 Fresno special I carried many years ago. It was a Robar finish if I remember right.
The decocker kit is a Beretta factory part so it shouldn't void the warranty but I don't work for Beretta. Beretta says to have the parts installed by a gunsmith but as this video shows almost anyone with a bit of dexterity and a couple of tools can do it. The tiny pins on the right side of an FS model are 1.5mm I believe so a 1/16th" punch will be slightly too large.

I really appreciate all the support, I can guarantee you one thing: I will always be a no BS straight shooter. I'm not in this for popularity. 👍🏼

I watched three other videos before this one and was stuck. Yours was by far the best and brought me on home. Thank you.

Thanks to this video I finally got the stones to do this to my 92 Compact. Many thanks for all the great videos.

Great video! Well demonstrated, efficient explanation, and clear camera work. Thanks for the help!!
I’ve used your video twice to change out the safety/decockers to a Decker only. It was the easiest video to follow.

Thou art a gunsmith and thy name shall be Bubba !!
Did my M9A3 conversion with no trouble, so thanks man
The best install, I've found!!! I've been fighting this thing like crazy.
your channel is great man, how have i not heard of you
Just converted a 92FS Compact and an M9A3 with your help. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thanks for the info, very helpful. I overcame the firing pin safety by using a mini binder clip to hold it up out of the way, worked great. Thanks again.
This guy know his stuff. 1st time assembly no problems. no tricks left out.
Just did this last week, very worthwhile mod
Thank you sir!!! This was of great help!
You said you used a 3/32 punch for the pins on the right side decocker. Not possible. I used 1/16 and it was still too large for the holes.
Thank you for this very helpful video.
Thank you the other video I started with his process was never going to work for me. After a few tries got it installed and working perfectly
Ditto for me.
Thanks for the video. I'll be using it to swap my 92X over to G.
Nice job and detail
Another great video
My favorite upgrade to the 92fs.
Same here. I believe the G conversion is a large part of the Renaissance we are seeing with the 92.
Awesome video. Thanks for the warning about the extra notch on the M9a3. Only lost 1 detent in the process. I wonder what's better, this or a Wilson Combat low profile safety?
Excellent video. I am getting ready to do this myself. Wondered was there any other punch size needed besides 3/32?
Pro tip: just take the firing pin safety stop block out. It’s one less thing to juggle with the punches and WAY easier to remove and replace than the safety lever is! Just do it.

What do you do with your leftover safeties?
January of 2021 and this video just walked me right through the install process of my Gkit. Thank you so much for the clear and informative video!
After installing G decocker kit - is it easier to disassemble slide for cleaning? Or same as disassembling slide with manual safety? Or more difficult?
I bought this kit to install on my M9A3 with the over- center safety/decocker lever. Will the new kit do away with the over-center feature?
I’m doin this to my storm today. Need to do it to my 92 after
The PX4 is much easier (and cheaper) to do it on
This conversion and the stock "D" hammer spring in all my Berettas
Beretta should just make all of their pistols G model only and have the safety option to be purchased separately for noobs.
This may be the wisest comment ever made on a RUclips gun video. Thank you.
will this kit work in a Girsan Regard MC?
Two questions. Will this same kit work on the 92A1? And, do you have Beretta's Part Number? (I'm not having luck finding the kit on their website.

Thank u!
Does the a1 have that notch like this a3?
I have Italian model 92fs it needs 1.5mm punch to knock out roll pins in weak side . Brownells sells them for ridiculous high price
Does it work with the 96a1?
Will an a3 slide fit on a 92a1?
I have had my 92FS for over 20 years and to be honest, have NEVER activated the safety by racking the slide.
The finish on that pistol looks a lot like what was on a Beretta 96 Fresno special I carried many years ago. It was a Robar finish if I remember right.
It's an interesting color for sure. It's been gross here but I can't wait to see it out in the sunlight.
@@jhelmsing did you buy a new m9a3?
@@postmaster505012 yes, I found one of the urban grey models.
@@jhelmsing cool will you be doing a video of it?
@@postmaster505012 I very well may do a take 2 of it after I get a few of my backlogs done.
Is the before and after any different looks or external measurements wise?
No
Literally you don't need three hands take the damn firing pin block out and it will make life easier......
This looks very doable, even for a clumsy oaf like me
Will this void your warranty? Has anyone asked the folks at beretta? That's the only thing keeping me from doing this.
Did this mod but sometimes the decocker does not spring back up. It gets stuck in the “safe” position. Any ideas ? I just can’t figure it out !
Round spring isn't put on correctly or you bent the leg on the spring allowing it to slide around and not provide enough tension.
I just bought a used 92fs and ordered the g kit,the holes for the 2 little pins on the right side seem smaller than 1/16,my punch doesn't fit, ideas?
I believe they are smaller. I bought a specific punch from brownells for it. But I’ve read online where people use a paper clip.
@@derekpierce1894 I bought the same punch from Brownells. I think the pins are 1.5mm but I can't remember for sure.
@@josipbroz3866 you are correct! The 1.5mm is slightly smaller than the 1/16.
will this work on a clone
A part number in the description or video would have been helpful.
Nice job
So, I did mine and now the DA doesn't work. Cock the hammer and the trigger works fine. Try to fire DA, and the trigger is dead. Any ideas folks??
Are you testing it with the slide on or off? Typically the slide sets the hammer back a tad which allows the trigger bar to engage.
That right side lever is ugly as sin. There is no way I would install that horrible looking contraption on my M9.
Function over looks...if you don't use it for self defense and just as a toy, then save your money and keep it as is.
Can I send u my slide and pay u to do it ? I want it done right 😂
I am absolutely sure, 100% certain, that maybe you scratched the slide! 4:51
Absolutely 100% maybe ??? The dumb is strong with you boy...😐
If only they made rubber punches to not damage your finish.
Good luck.with the little spring with the stupid gloves on
