Thanx, riggin' up an 88' Seaswirl, to fish the coast. The price of fish finders, and plotter is pretty high for my fixed income, anymore...but will look around for good used gear. Everything I own, is old.
Thank you for sharing your ingenious crab davit.. I like the simplicity of the design and it works very well in your other crabbing video. I love your boat make over. I did a similar conversion of an old aluminum ski boat to a fishing boat 3years ago. I wish have gone with a center console design like your.! this is my 1st boat . My boat is only 16ft and with a narrower beam. It is great to know there are many way to help reduce unwanted waste and being green by bring new simple life to an old item. I am going to make a davit just your. Thank you again ..for sharing your great work. Much appreciate.!
Thanks for the tour of your boat. Answered some of my questions. I had a 90s Hewscraft 17 searunner and sold it because of the wasted space in front. Liked the ride but needed more space. Looking for something like yours next. Looks like a fishing machine. Seems like you can get good deals on the old 2 strokes. Glad to see yours serves you well. Thanks for the videos. Only request would be more captions for us that don't hear so great any more.
Thanks David! For whatever reason, I just haven't been able to get CC up and running. I don't know what it is, haven't been able to solve it. Sorry, I would have it running if I could...
I run a '99 2 stroke 60 hp Merc also. I am wondering where to retire to when I'm all done with the rat race. Oregon is beyond beautiful, but everything I'm reading tells me too expensive my friend. I won't be rich, but I won't be poor. Doing what you do would be a wonderful way to finish my days. Maybe it's possible. Living in Wisconsin right now, so fishing salmon on the big lake, and other stuff on inland lakes and rivers. Lived all over these great states and always fished. Take care and keep showing us how it's done on the Yaquina reef!
Hello James! Expensive is right! and getting more so. I'm paying $4.30 a gallon for E0 gas to run that old smoker. Gov Brown wants to add another $.22 a gallon Tax...
@@kingslew1866 Yikes. Our ethanol free is $3.30. I'm more concerned about property prices and property taxes though. Those 2 things would probably stop me from moving out your way. Would love to meet you and PK YI. Oregon fishing heroes/legends.
You are a good old dude, I am glad I came across your channel. My wife says that you are me or I am you in 10 or so years....keep on kickin ass my fishing friend!
Hey I was wondering what you thought of a 50hp pushing an 18ft aluminum boat. Seems a little wider than yours but not much. Deep V hull. Do you think it would push it ok and be able to cross bars on calmer days?
Thanks for the walk-through King! I am enjoying your fishing videos.
Thank you for the walk thru, very inspirational as to the things I need to upgrade on my boat, thanks again...
Speaking of Skuas , there was one eating anchovies at Agate yesterday. It was up in the cove, really cool birds.
