Remember a huge spate of sex offenders/ rapists getting piss poor so called sentences from the same judge for years? Strange eh. My point: If a judge constantly is proven to biased against certain persons are acts- shouldn't this be investigated as to why? Are we under the impression that judges are impartial. I think not. Some of these bitter angry ex-cunt cops are given these positions and we are led to believe that we will get justice. Heart goes out to that poor woman. Whats worse is that at the time of me writing this the DPP is 'investigating' this. They will investigate the crime not the judge.

    There's also another issue with the leniency here. She was standing up for others that were being targeted. This sentence (or lack of) makes people be bystander instead of speaking up.

    • @geroutathat
      @geroutathat 6 месяцев назад +1

      No, it's alawys been the same. Ireland has always had the most lenient laws in the world for aggravated assault. Ireland recognizes the right of a person being spoken to poorly to give the person a punch and not get punished. If you ha é a pregnant wife and someone makes a lewd comment about her, in Ireland you have a god given right to snap a shovel over their back. You won't get punished. The problem for a bystander is of they enter the argument and go over and tell someone being abusive to others to shut up, they are now aggravating the original person. The person he was shouting abuse at had a right to knock him out or leave. A bystander has the right to either get ready to fight or stay out of it.. you should have learned as a kid how to stay on the right side of the law. If your friend is getting abusive shouts, you push them behind you and wait until you get shouted at too. Now you have been aggravated. You're only allowed be aggravated on behalf of family members getting abused.
      It's really really easy to navigate. I don't know where Irish people got the belief they can just interject in an argument and be aggravating to the side they don't like and have the cops chuck the person in jail.
      In this case you agree with her stance, but let's reverse it.
      A gay guy has been called a name, he's aggravated, he's shouting at a girl all sorts. I join in on the girls side, tell him to shut up. You saying he should have to do what I say? He shouldn't be allowed to stand his ground? Me as a bystander I can just join in and aggravate him more and it's fine? Do you see how this will end? He will go to jail if I get deeper and deeper involved in the argument?

      The leniency comes from the government trying to protect the foreign people who are the ones who are committing the most violent crimes… same in England and of course the rest of Europe. The prisons are now bursting with people who were not born in Europe or have parents that were not born here. This may have been committed by a white person and Irish native but the leniency is mainly to protect the newcomers as they are becoming an embarrassment to the Lefties. Rather than admit the problem they are pretending it isn’t happening…. Of course this means we all suffer a lawless society.

    Good man Garron. Well said and what an amazing young woman Natasha is. She makes me proud to be Irish. I hope the country really gets behind her and sends a strong signal to those who think violence and intimidation are in any way acceptable forms of behaviour. The whole sentencing thing reminded me of the Michael Flynn murder case back in the early 80s when a group of young men homophonically attacked and killed a 31 year old gay man. They were all given suspended sentences. Two of those guys were in the defence forces as well, but the Air Corp had the good sense to chuck them out. One of them later went on to rape a pregnant woman, breaking into her home when her husband was at work and giving her the option of being raped or being kicked in the stomach. That was a shameful moment from our past. This simply has to be a watershed moment where we draw a line and say no more. No one should have to live in fear in modern Ireland. Women are well able to speak for themselves, but maybe as men, more of us need to step up and tell other men that violence and disrespect for others is beneath contempt and we're not having it. If any movement gets going behind Natasha, I'm definitely willing to chuck a few quid in, march, hold a banner, whatever it takes.

I love to visit Ireland and get to know people there and more of the Irish culture.
