I love Michael so much, and I love George. I'm so happy to hear Michael talk about 'Something' with George, it's like a dream come true!

At 36:40 you can hear the explanation about Harrison liking Smokey Robinson's version of Something better than Ray Charles' version [Charles being the one who inspired the song in the first place]. And at 37:25 you can hear the surprise at Michael realizing that Something was a George's song and not a Lennon-Mccartney one. Nice historic moments on record for us.

This interview has been remastered. "When George Met Michael" will be broadcast on BBC Radio Solent at 11:00 GMT on Saturday, February 9th 2019. After then it will be available for 30 days on "BBC Sounds". It is a very interesting part of history and I am so happy someone thought to do this. This is fabulous. I feel you wouldn't get stars of this calibre both on 1 radio station these days. Or just talking about music and songs like this. Just great.

Interesting how at one point, the interview says, "Michael you've never really done any rock n' roll." I think that's debatable but in the years to come, there came "Beat It," "PYT," "Torture," "Dirty Diana," "Give In To Me," "Black or White," "D.S." and "Morphine."

Happy Birthday to good ole BBC Radio 1, 50 today (30/09/2017). I remember listening to and recording this episode of Roundtable and heard DJ presenter David "Kid" Jensen talking this morning about this being one of his most memorable moments of his time at the BBC.

The roundtable method of interview isn't my favorite because it takes a great deal of time to get a full interview per one person Michael Jackson and George Harrison were very patient with all the interruptions for radio programming repertoire of songs being played over the airwaves. Although, I did learn a lot about the different genres of music! :)

@@kevinwort5394 It is not availible anymore. I saw only the video about these memories with Jenkins on BBC radio 1, they've shared a audio from it during the time of Michael and George Harrison in the studio. But video from it excist.
