Watched a number of your videos mate they're really good.
I like the fact that your reviews are actually a review and you go into a bit of detail. The fishing world needs more content like this. Happy rig tying
Thanks Brummie😊👍
Got one myself now John, have to say this vid helped me out. Now I've used it and set it up my way I'm well pleased - Cheers 👍
Glad to here that 😊👍
A very good revue on that rig station Jon, sorry i see it late, you did a good job, and it looks brilliant mate, Thank you,
Thanks once again James keep those live matches coming. Maybe you should try and review something, the views are better than live matches😊👍
A decent, thorough, and interesting video John.. TY for posting...
Cheers, thank you for watching and commenting😊👍
Perfect review! This convinced me even more that i need this in my life but sadly not available yet in Belgium.
Thanks for watching, don't you know someone who can send you on? But probably expensive to ship to Belguim??
Another great presentation John👏. I personally made my own rig board using white Mdf 1mtr long, which I marked out with permanent marker pen with 2 spool holders with retaining thumb screws and washers for tension, all line up spot on, utilising pop rivets for my pins, I keep all my stotz in original dispenser. When not in use Rivets left in Mdf along with thumb tension screws. All shot, line, loop tier, line and scissors, sprung jewellery pliers keep in plastic linch box with lockable lid. Cost max in total £6.00-£7.00 I usually make 2 rigs of each type so no need to take rig tier to bank all done in shed.
To part with approx £60 for Preston plastic box which looks quite brittle is a non event for me 👍
Sounds like you have an awesome setup mate😊👍
Picked my one up today. Very impressed. As you said you can customize to suit your own set up. Will be getting lots of use.
I see the Rig pins has been mentioned. I use mainly Stotz so will use the slots to fit the 4 sizes i use..
Good review John. Cheers. PS, The outside of the box showed where the majority of the bits went.
Yes I did look at the box for a bit of guidance, thanks for watching mate👍
Maybe an instruction leaflet would have been useful to include
I'll stick to my piece of wood with nails in ty.
Whatever works mate, 😊👍
Good video I will stick to my lump of wood and spend the £60 on some other kit
😊👍
Excellent unboxing - not easy to do! This is well thought out and designed, I’d be interested if they decide to sell the shot box separately. I have the Rigmate (review on my channel) which has been excellent. I got it when I went back to Balebini shot for carp rigs (still use stotz for silvers). There isn’t enough in this to make me change, but at £60 good value I think. As you don’t shot your rigs at home I do think you’re missing the main advantage of owning a rig board which in my view is shotting rigs accurately and consistently. I personally wouldn’t want to be putting Balebini on my rigs on the bank, far too fiddly for my hands but we’re all different.
Thanks for the comments Paul....love the channel by the way👍. I think this purchase might persuade me to do a bit more shotting when tying rigs? I think If I were doing a lot of shallow fishing then pre shotting would definitely be an advantage....will be interesting to see how I am using it in 6 months time???
Good review 😊
Just to say you can shut the rig station with the rig pins still in place, but not with the hook length pins in.
I just checked and you right, how did I miss that, will probably do another video about it in a couple of months, so will make sure to mention that😊👍
Great TShirt John
YNWA
The box will close with the two big rig pins in place, there are recess holes for them on the opposite lids. Its only the small hooklength twisted pins that need to be removed, if you use them
I realise this now🤦🤦Thanks for commenting and watching😊👍
£60 in my local tackle shop,it's a plastic box, nearly fell over when I saw what it costs, sorry Preston, your having a laugh at the expense of the angler,🤨
I think the price might put a few off based in the comments I have seen, but my local tackle shop had a decent list of pre orders. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, it's appreciated👍😊
Thanks for the review. I've been looking at the rig mate for a while but I can't justify spending that sort of money but I think this may prize open my wallet 😮
🤣😂🤣😂, time to shop about for a deal👍
I'll settle for my Jordan Holloway Rig-Mate, I wonder where Preston got the idea from? There is a tutorial on the Preston website.
Rig boards have been around for donkeys years, some people make their own. Jordans one looks nice but you can't pack it away quickly. It's the storage I really like, the fact it's rig board as well is a bonus for me.
you can shut it with big pins in just not the small hooklength pins
A few people have informed me about that.....my bad🤦. Thanks for watching😊👍
the bolts are for for your line spools.
Yes I worked it out in the end😂🤣
Why didn't the put on a hooktyer that could be attached to bracket in one end like at stonfo calibrone. ....
I don't know, I just bought it didn't design it🤣😂👍
@@AverageAngler i know mayby PI will make this in the next version
They might do? Or perhaps an adapter for this??? Bet you won't get commission for the idea though😂🤣😂
what is the distance between the rig pegs Please
700mm/27.5inch, and you can leave them in and still close the box😊👍, only the hooklength pins that need to be removed😊👍
Use a washer for spools john
Might work.better with a washer for sure😊👍
Thx John. Looks like a good bit of useful kit. Wont b buying one tho at that price 😱 maybe if £40. All the top makes are overpricing their gear 😡
Quite a few people thinking it's over priced, so you not on your own😊👍. Thanks for watching again mate😊👍
Would of thought the 6 magnetic compartments are for hooks
Shot to stay in their own containers on the other side
Don't think the 6 compartments are magnetic? I will check😊👍
No not magnetic, but after watching my video back I can see why you thought they were, I do call it magnetic a few times, but that's in reference to the magnetic lid, sorry if this was misleading🤦🤦
Good review not cheap, I bought one paid 55.00 quid for it bargain 👍🏻
The price of everything has risen with all this inflation, weldone on getting a bargain😊👍
@@AverageAngler Your correct but if you shop around you normally can get a good deal with any new tackle 👍🏻
It would be better if it attached/clipped to cassettes on the box so could take it with you if needed
I don't think I would want to be taking it fishing with me. 😊😊
It will definitely make a gap in your wallet. I've seen a few saying latches are difficult to open, but you didn't seem to have any problems. Hope you find it useful. Do you think you've got enough silicone for those floats 😅
Latches are tight, but I like that, 👍
Not bothered two nails in wood just same
Thanks for commenting and watching😊😊👍
Looks like to much fecking about love the one I made cost me nothing fancy buying something and u don't no what anything is must have more money than sense
Thanks for watching and commenting😊👍
Can't take you seriously with that on your t-shirt . Sorry as I normally love your videos
😂🤣😂🤣I knew that T Shirt would get some comments😊👍
@AverageAngler fair play mate. Man U fan. Look forward to your next video
I saw Joe Carrass do it with a Man U mug, so I thought if its good for the goose😊👍
mass produced plastic box small box 60 pounds..i would say max price 25 pounds ,toys for boys,no red go faster stripe ether ,no it money not well spent sorry plastic breaks,,
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊😊😊👍
your lighting is average at best
You don't want good lighting with a face like mine🤣😂🤣😂🤦
@@AverageAngler I dont even look myself in the mirror.
If you dont like it dont buy one quite simple but some people like them
Totally agree mate, 👍 Definitely not what I would call essential gear, but if we only had essentials we would all be rich🤣😂🤣😂👍
