The hard top inserts stick up above the lip of the hard top to hide the lower portion of the hardtop frame and do not work when running a soft top or no top at all. The soft top version is cut flush with the top of the quarter panel. It can be run with a hard top as well, the hard top version is just a cleaner looking install when you are running a hard top.

One more question I noticed on your website there are the quarter panels for 66-76 and 77’ broncos, but I couldn’t find the 77’ soft top quarter panel in parchment vinyl. I could only find it in the hard top version. Any advice to find the 77’ soft top in parchment vinyl?

What does it mean to be a hard top vs soft top quarter panel? Will the hard top one not be able to go with the top off?
