In my opinion Indian Companies didn't acquire foreign Companies, they acquired foreign technology. A perfect example would be Mahindra's acquisition of "Pinninfarina" a Italian car designing company which used to design cars for Ferari. Mahindra bought them and made their dreams come true which was becoming a Supercar Company. Now Mahindra is using them to establish itself in Supercar Market and using their Designing prowess to design it's cars like BE 6E(You already watched it). And we all know that if a Supercar Company is from Italy then which amount of admiration they get.
The video missed out on biggest acquisition because of its historical value. British came to India in the guise of doing business and the company was East India Company, which looted plundered and sent back all the riches to the UK. This company was also acquired by some Indian company
That's not only for technological transfer benefit for Indian companies because technologically they are already giant. They are targeting European markets to sell their Indian products also because they want to impose faith / trust among European customers about Indian products. That's why they are buying sick companies and turn around these companies through Indian products using their existing outlets.
