what is the cost of it
You don't require copper clad you could simply us aluminium foil with the same layout but aluminium is a not as good of a conductor as copper hence the use of copper

You can't use the pure copper plate as a water sensor. So one sided copper board is a only choice for you.

Just look at the circuit diagram because in this video the person is actially doing it the wrong way
And in the diagran the copper board is broken and when the water drop comes in contact with the two strips of copper and then , the circuit is complete so then only it will make sound

It simply works when the rain reaches a curtain amount the water build up will connect both sides of of the copper clad that was split. Whether not water is a terrible conductor it is still able to conduct a limited amount of electricity to power the buzzer. BTW im 14

fake. you put salt on the copper clad. this will drain battery soon and salt will swiped by rain water. you should use a npn transistor and a resistor.

Oh dear whole project itself is wrong if you connect battery directly to buzzer then obviously it makes sounds you can test it if you want

Don't waste your time behind these fake projects
Projects are not as simple as shown in the above video
Never find easy way definitely some mistake will be there.
One more thing even if you scratch the copper board there is of no use waste of money and Time.

You don't require copper clad you could simply use aluminium foil with the same layout but aluminium is a not as good of a conductor as copper hence the use of copper. Then stick the aluminum on a non conductive base preferably water proof, and there you have it a budget, less conductive, copper clad.

it may or may not work in rain as rain water is pure water so conductivity is very less
