Greetings from a New Yorker who lived in Miami in the 80's and dreams everyday of returning of Dubai to start a family, thanks for this amazing video of my two favorite cities.
They are two amazing cities for sure, I hope you get to go back to Dubai someday! There are a lot of opportunities over there these days so I’m sure you’ll be able to
You have immense knowledge about the aircraft type, age of the aircraft, the version of it, the flight information on nearby aircraft parked or incoming or outgoing, that is absolutely amazing
Thank you! It's actually all quite easily accessible information with Google and a nice Flightradar24 subscription :) Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!
Yeah, that was the one notable basic missing. Earplugs are a must in any amenity kit, but then again this is economy so I'm grateful I even got one to begin with. Thanks for watching!
That’s great! I’m actually taking this flight again in a little over a month as well. Hope you have fun and that this video was informative to you. Thanks for watching!
I was just checking the departures @ Dubai airport @ flightradar24 and saw Emirates flight 213 departing to Miami. Flew 35 minutes and had still 15:13 h to go. Wow. That's a long flight and i was looking for a video that showed me something of this atmosphere. I flew with Emirates a lot of times. My longest was from Dubai via Singapore to Brisbane. 7:30 first leg and second was 8:20. We had a 1,5 h break in Singapore and when i arrived in Brisbane i didn't knew if i am a man or a woman. The time difference was 10 hours from the city where i departed ( Berlin / Frankfurt / Dubai / Singapore / Brisbane ).
Yeah, it was a pretty long flight but luckily Emirates’s seats are very comfortable and I was lucky not to have anyone sitting next to me this flight. I’m the type of person who enjoys any flight but I think even a normal traveler wouldn’t have much of a problem spending 15+ hours on Emirates! Thanks for watching
I will be taking this flight in November and I watched this video to see what seat on EK's 777 have actual window seats (e.g 35K might not have a window right next to the seat but 34K will.) I saw so much info and this was def worth the 40 mins watch. Great job, you earned a subscriber!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words and I'm glad the video could help! For future reference, there's an incredible website called Aerolopa that has detailed seat maps of most major airlines and includes window alignments. It's super useful and helps me and many others massively when choosing seats. Using this particular EK 777 configuration as an example, I could see that row 35 has good window alignment while 34 doesn't. Hope that's helpful as well, again thanks for watching and subscribing!
Hello! The two meals shown in this video were the two meals served on the flight (dinner and breakfast). If you also include the little pizza box mid-flight then I guess it's 2.5 meals lol. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Absolutely! I’d move them into second out of all airlines I’ve flown in that regard, behind only Turkish, who are really hard to beat in my opinion. Never had a bad meal with them! Thanks for watching
Great report. I can't imagine being able to be in economy for 13+ hours. I have flown First EWR -ATH and will be flying them again in two weeks. On the way back I am flying first on the A380 MXP-JFk. I have only flown economy once with Emirates on their A380 and although the flight was comfortable and I had lots of legroom it was a much shorter flight than yours and the A380 is more spacious. I am not sure if you have flown their premium classes, if you haven't, hopefully you will. You will love it!!!.
Thanks for this comment! My longest flight’s over 16 hours on the A380 lol, it was fun for me but I know for most people it can get pretty unbearable. I have actually flown both their 777 and A380 in business and loved the experience! Hope your flight in first is just as magical, that’s my dream. Thanks for watching!
@@GenAvAviation awesome!! I want to start a channel on flight reports but in Spanish as there isn’t as much content but I feel like I won’t enjoy the flights as much because I’m going to be so worry about recording 😬😬
Having a channel is an amazing and rewarding experience. However, if I’m honest, I don’t have nearly as much of a chance to enjoy the flights I take as before I started this. If that’s primarily what you want I wouldn’t recommend starting a channel, however if you’re successful it opens the door to making money from your trips and potentially getting new opportunities you wouldn’t normally get if you get big enough. Always work at your own pace and taste if you do start a channel, remember no one is employing you and if people don’t like your videos they have an option not to watch them. Have fun and I’m sure you’ll make the right choice whatever it is!
Hey sorry to hear about the turbulence, I think especially over the mid Atlantic/Bermuda Triangle area there tends to be quite a bit of turbulence in general. The food was amazing yeah, I maintain that Emirates has the best economy class catering I've ever experienced (TK's business meals are incredible but from my experience the economy catering doesn't quite live up the same way). Thanks for watching!
yes indeed! Emiratis love feeding people real good because I flew Etihad JFK-AUH and they kept waking me up multiple times throughout the flight to feed me. It felt like every 2-3 hours they came around with something to eat, the service was exceptional.
Yes, I didn’t order drinks apart from during the meal but Emirates does allow to you order beverages, including alcoholic, at any point during your flight. You might have to ring your call button or go to the galley though, especially at night, because the FAs are not constantly roaming/monitoring the cabin. Thanks for watching!
Truthfully I really just wasn't that thirsty on this flight! I do know that it's important to drink plenty of fluids on long flights like these but to be honest I was satisfied with the two Pepsis, water cartons, orange juice, and other small bottle of water I brought onboard. Didn't feel like disturbing the FAs for what I felt was no reason, but yeah it's definitely recommended to drink a lot more than what I did lol
miami has a massive spanish speaking population, in fact the majority (over 70%) of the city speaks spanish, and many passengers would've been connecting on to other flights to latin america
I actually have flown Emirates 777-300ER business before! I was flying from Los Angeles in November 2020, unfortunately before I started making trip reports. I also didn't get a window so no videos exist of that flight, but you can actually see the previous flight's (DXB-LAX) videos as some of the first on my channel. I hope to fly Emirates business again and make a video about it, as you said the service is incredible. Thanks for watching!
The majority of people in Miami speak Spanish and the airport is often used as a stopover point from Latin American countries due to its proximity and strong Latino influence. You could say Spanish is Miami’s official language, so therefore it only makes sense that announcements would be in Spanish as well
lol, normally that would be more than enough in economy but emirates's is actually really nice! Close to US domestic first class if not on par with some. Thanks for watching!
Hi! The "tearing" of the boarding passes is actually standard procedure. Next time you're flying, look closely and you'll see there's a clear cutout where it's supposed to be torn. This is regular boarding procedure and you still get to keep a piece! Thanks for watching
Yes lol, no part of my arm or the camera was touching anything but the air but the mighty GE90s are so powerful you can still feel it anyway! Thanks for watching
Actually I did talk about it 😅 it’s basically the fuel being injected into the engine once it’s had time to stabilize a bit after initial rotation. You can notice it with any jet engine but it’s very loud and prominent on the GE90. Thanks for watching!
no way a fully loaded 773 was off in 6k ft. in the Miami heat and humidity. There leg room is average at 32 inches and they have some of the most outdated business class seats in the sky.
Hi! Per Google Earth the takeoff distance of the aircraft was measured at approximately 6,000 ft. Strong headwinds are your friend here. I will take that 32 in. is probably more realistic than 34 but numerous websites list the seat pitch as 34 inches so we’ll go with 32 - 34 which is above average compared to most airlines. Finally, yes, the business class could be called “outdated” mainly due to its 2-3-2 layout but they’re pretty modern and this trip report is about their economy, which is in fact top notch for the industry. Thanks for watching!
@@haroldlipschitz9301 you ruler is wrong. Should we pull out the POH of a 777 to show you the data? Looking at the poh for the 200 model it is 8500-10000 ft depending on the weight. I assume that’s going out dam near MTOGW. Keep in mind the temp and humidity in Miami too. You couldn’t even get a fully loaded gulfstream 200 off in 6000 ft in Miami.
@@BirdDog. Nope, if you measure on Google to the point they were airborne adjacent to the Clarion hotel you’ll get the same result. Could have been a 23 degree evening with 20 knot headwind right down the runway, who knows. Certainly doable for the 77W
Having flown both I'd actually say they're about the same. Maybe the A380 is a few centimeters more. As a point of comparison, how tall are you? I was 5'6 when I made this video so that could always affect your POV. Thanks for watching!
