  • In this video I'll show you my rig setup, bait and at the end I'll explain the gutter I'm fishing in and tides, weather etc.

      Think of a gutter on a road, and a pot hole, the difference is the same.

    It's my life's ambition to catch a Mulloway. I've travelled interstate . Fished for hours and hours in many different locations. I'll probably end up catching one somewhere close to home.

      @@Outbound I went to Robe before covid to target dews. Used live mullet only to catch a huge banjo shark and 68cm flatty . A snapped line from what might have been stingray and not much else.

      @@georgea8298 salt creek is a great spot or, arguably the best spot in aus would be the dog fence for big mullys

      @@Outbound exactly straight on a sand bank.🤣.I've brought them up from deep water in the lake and rivers.They get the bends sometimes.Swim bladder swells up.From the depth.Fucks em.

    Do you factor in the moon cycles for jewies? How do you measure barometric pressure?

      Moon is very important mate, also when the moon sets etc. the pressure you can check on weather/ fishing apps etc.

      I like the darker nights, coming up to a full moon is probably my favourite, but different locations are different also, best to keep a log of known catch times etc.

    how deep would you guess that gutter is that youre fishing? And how far out do you manage to cast your bait? Nice jewie mate!

      Thanks Mate, i would guess its only 4-5 metres deep? not casting too far mate, i could cast alot further then i am, but im just trying to hit the gutter.

    I have never caught a mulloaway off the beach. Do you use berily to attract them.

      I dont bother normally, it can help, but it also attracts rays and sharks etc, its more about picking your times and the gutters etc

      Snelled hooks, just the end one is a circle.

      Pretty much luck Of the draw mate metro.
      Best bet is to look at Google earth and try find good spots, otherwise anywhere around freo can be good or in the swan

      No, i have a 3 meter leader to my swivel, I keep my hook leader short as I find it better in alot of swell and when there's weed about, stop it twisting and getting tangled.
      There's enough of a shock absorber in my main leader.
