I think mp3 players still have a pretty significant place for today's potential users. Yes, a phone does all the same things for the most part... And the decline in actual computer sales is a huge impact. No computer, no download music. No ability to put music ON a mp3 player either. But when battery life is a concern? An mp3 player is the way to go. I've wanted to get a new one for a long time now for work, where I have no ability to charge my phone. This may be the way to go for me once I build my Blu tooth speaker. Thanks!

Still using my Philips gogear raga player after so many years being dropped in water pits, exposed to salt water, been washed many times in the washing machine, it's been stepped on, it's been dragged after my bike, it's a bit rough on the corners but keeps playing the songs as it did new, i paid 17 USD for it new, 1GB model, still charging great, and plays continuously for over a day, audio quality is acceptable, it's simple to use, small and lightweight, what more do one need, i ditched my smartphone, it was annoying to fish out that stupid brick and unlock it and fiddle with the touch screen, but with this player i just use muscle memory and tactile feedback from the buttons, don't even have to look at the screen, sometimes they just make things too complicated, like with some players, keep it simple, i like these you tested, here, cheap but yet simple enough, and has the features you need.

Hi, can you check the following feature: Do it play songs in correct sequense? I have bought a similar cheap MP3 player, and it simply refuse to play in correct order. This is a big FAIL if you want to listen to AudioBooks. Not too fun to here random chapters of the book. Hi Lucy, yes, you can listen audible books on ruizu. Customers who enjoy audio book will need files sort by alphabetic order. The easiest way to do that is go to “Artist” or ”Album”. And find certain artist or album you want, all audio will be sort automatically by alphabetic order there. If your audio files don’t have artist or album info, then you need some tricks. Because MP3 player has different format compare to PC/MAC, files won’t be sort by alphabetic order when you use “folder” or “folder view” function. Some convert software may help you solve the problem. But there’s still a easier way to do that. Please follow these steps to sort the audio: 1, Prepare you audio book files on PC/MAC. 2, Make sure these files are in correct order by file name. Such as “01 xxx”, “02 xxx”...”50 xxx”. 3, Now plug in your mp3 player and ready to transfer. 4, Create a folder in mp3 player and name it as you wish. 5, Select all audio files and do not copy or cut.(Important) 6, When all files are being selected, move your mouse above the first audio file (ie “01 xxx”) and then right click and copy. (Important) 7, Paste these files to your mp3 player folder, make sure all files are pasted in right order. Otherwise delete them all and redo step 5. 8, unplug the mp3 player, and go to the folder with files, they should be in correct order. This method is using “edit time” to sort the files, the first file you paste will be the first file be edited. Just make sure, when you’re going to copy files, sort them on you PC/Mac first, then select them all and move you mouse to the very first file to copy.

The radio problem would be that using headphones works as an antenna for FM. While that would not be the case for a speaker 🔊

Hi, can you check the following feature: Do it play songs in correct sequense? I have bought a similar cheap MP3 player, and it simply refuse to play in correct order. This is a big FAIL if you want to listen to AudioBooks. Not too fun to here random chapters of the book. (And: Yes i turned Off the Random play) Not alfabetic, Not numerical, and ignores the MP3-id-tags for song number :-(

Great video, Thanks! I have a question, can I listen to audible books on ruizu? I managed to download the files but the device asks me "to activate my device" I checked it in my audible manager which does not list the ruizu.... Any suggestions welcome.
Hi Lucy, yes, you can listen audible books on ruizu.
Customers who enjoy audio book will need files sort by alphabetic order. The easiest way to do that is go to “Artist” or ”Album”. And find certain artist or album you want, all audio will be sort automatically by alphabetic order there.
If your audio files don’t have artist or album info, then you need some tricks. Because MP3 player has different format compare to PC/MAC, files won’t be sort by alphabetic order when you use “folder” or “folder view” function. Some convert software may help you solve the problem. But there’s still a easier way to do that.
Please follow these steps to sort the audio:
1, Prepare you audio book files on PC/MAC.
2, Make sure these files are in correct order by file name. Such as “01 xxx”, “02 xxx”...”50 xxx”.
3, Now plug in your mp3 player and ready to transfer.
4, Create a folder in mp3 player and name it as you wish.
5, Select all audio files and do not copy or cut.(Important)
6, When all files are being selected, move your mouse above the first audio file (ie “01 xxx”) and then right click and copy. (Important)
7, Paste these files to your mp3 player folder, make sure all files are pasted in right order. Otherwise delete them all and redo step 5.
8, unplug the mp3 player, and go to the folder with files, they should be in correct order.
This method is using “edit time” to sort the files, the first file you paste will be the first file be edited. Just make sure, when you’re going to copy files, sort them on you PC/Mac first, then select them all and move you mouse to the very first file to copy.
