The Breen have discovered the location of the Preserver Archive, but so have we. Let's get there first and keep whatever is there out of their cold hands.
But what is waiting is not what I was expecting.

Tarsy: Captain Hale we should ambush the breen and Jem'heara forces while their distracted. The element of surprise will give us the edge
Captain Hale: well we could do that or just watch the pretty lights for a while, their not going anywhere.
Engineering : rase a toast to the captain we don't have to stapple new decking on the hull while under fire. Hip hip hooray
Tactical officer: Sir, we have Breen and...Alpha Quadrant Jem'Hadar. They seem to be locked into combat. Orders?
Let them fight. Someone get me Earl Grey?
On it sir ^_^7 *takes the floor short cut*
i cracked up at that too, he has a way of making every mission so funny
popcorn!
Tarsi: "Captain, request permission to replicate a _punching bag_ for my quarters."
Cpt Hale: "Granted. Also, why are you looking so tense?"
Tarsi: "Gnn... _no_ reason, Captain."
Can't tell if it is from being frozen and that causing shame to the andorian or the fact hale just ignored her for 5 minutes
@@darthvendar6841 It's from being ignored. I'm sure Tarsi would be rather unphazed by being frozen.
@@patrikhjorth3291 To be fair being from a civilization that thrives on an ice world, being frozen might be embarrassing.
"That's why I'm a captain and you are still a commander"
*Apply water on the burn*
Tarsi: "Captain, the Breen and Jem'Hadar are enganged in combat. We should take advantage of the situation..."
Cortana: "You might want to consider sitting this one out."
Tarsi: "Who said that? Who are you?"
Skavrin: "Ah, sorry. I installed Halo 2 on the bridge Engineering station. I thought I'd paused that game."
“That’s a good cuppa” is one of the best compliments 😅
I always love these videos!
What I think was a nice twist was that the star chart resembled the double helix of DNA, as did the trees of the planet that the preservers were on. It’s a nice call back to the TNG episode where the message was in the DNA of all humanoid beings. The creators of STO really do pay attention to details.
The real ending of the episode is equipping the Breen shield in the visual slot for 5 seconds, then realizing how ugly it looks and tossing it into the deepest, darkest bank slot ever.
it works decently well on some ships
Drinking tea and letting them fight it out was brilliant. I was laughing so hard!
I'm sorry, I just can't get over "Thot" Trel at 10:32 x D
I did not notice that earlier.
I still think of the Breen rank whenever an internet person uses that "new word" for "slut".
I wish we had a bit more on the extinct cultures of Star Trek... they have small bits of great lore everywhere, but little actual info
I remember when this was a brand new featured episode. Those were the days. Thanks for the upload. Also since this is STO, I have to sign off with RIP Foundry.
I agree rip foundry :( so many good missions and I made many good ones as well. Though I know why they got rid of it i would use it to farm resources and make millions of credits no problem
@@umadbroimatroll7918 Actually the reason they got rid of it is because it kept breaking everytime they made a major update to the game and they didn't have the manpower or technical know how to keep it up and running. I remember when I joined the game the Foundry might be down a week after a major update, but when they finally killed it I think it was something on the order of a month or two before they could get it back up at all - nevermind have it working properly - after a major update.
@@canisblack oof, I didnt know that as I played till max level and did all story content then took a break for some years and when I came back foundry was gone
the Progenitors were far more ancient (over 4 billion years ago) the Preservers only a few hundred thousands years ago
A possible explanation is that, with time travel, it's possible there was a section of the Progenitors that may have jumped forward to see their ultimate outcome and stayed around fixing cultural issues on given planets.
Yeah, now you mention it, that is a major discrepancy.
Is that why you're called "Nitpicking Nerd"?
@@amiscellaneoushuman3516 to be fair, two groups being separated by billions of years is a bit more than a nit. This would be more like crude oil tanker ship picking.
I was thinking that, too. If they specifically mention that 'This will take eons, we won't be around to see how it turns out,' then how were they around... to see how it turned out and preserve some of it? :-)
There's no way to know how much time ago the Preservers were compared to Anno Domini era, the only temporal indications of time Star Wars has are of course internal to their Galaxy events, unlike Star Trek that is explicitly in the Milky way and in Anno Domini
It's also claimed the Iconians were the first of the Preserver seeded races to rise and become space faring. The first of the children to grow up so to speak. So in STO the Iconians are older than the T'Kon and were around for a long time even out lasting the T'Kon before their own empire fell. It also makes the Iconians the longest lasting power in galactic time. They must be a species over 350000 years old to be older than the T'Kon. It's no wonder their tech and knowledge made them basically god like to other cultures.
Mark Hale: Fortunately his aim sucks.
Tarsi and Co: We disagree!
I stopped playing STO years ago but I look forward to these videos each week.
YES!!! The 2800 FE Series next!
Old Design DS9, Bajor dullness, Shuttles, and Spacewalking.
Oh so much fun...
"Hopefully nothing bad will happen." -- It's the 2800.
Your amazing I would of just summed that up as Breen and more Breen. But you make it interesting :)
Hey rick, I absolutely love the story series following captain hale, wish they were more regular but maybe i should just be happy with what i get. loving the new oddy btw.
at the 2:10 mark in my mind you gust were give coffee by one of your bridge officer lol
Hey what happened to the normal closing? If you have not been Ric for this episode, who were you today? I always get a kick out of you saying that. "I've been Ric, and I will see you next time." Love your narration of the game play -- VERY entertaining! Keep up the stupendous work!!!
I LOVE the new intro msuic you have been using with this it should be used for all episodes
So it's the Lost 2800 arc next then. Can't wait.
I love how vastly huge these ships actually are. You could walk around all day and never see another person
i wish they would revamp this arc and bring it back to the main story arcs.
As well as 2800 and for TOS captains only Spectres.
Maybe you could ask them about the Iconians.
Will we ever discover why T’Met and T’Ket have such similar names?
1:55 LOL!!!
man he gonna be shock when he gets to the icoian war.
I was about to say that if someone just watched my task force get wiped out that would be an act of aggression to me... then I thought about who the Breen were fighting. The Jem'Hadar would just be thankful the new guys didn't get in the way, assuming the new guys would inhibit victory. Jem'Hadar, I am not.
19:47 WHY did you say that??? Ugh, you jinxed it!
How can I say it that you 23rd century evolve human could understand?? Ah yes!!
You are attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis.
All these stories would make for great television.
My Odyssey class ship is the Preserver.
Great work as always. I've started posting my own STOSS. It's certainly not an easy thing.
I also have three tutorial videos I probably should edit... before Cryptic makes more changes.
"By *Kirk* in Amerind in *2368*".
You mean Picard.
I think he meant 2268.
Damn good question... how cold does something have to be to freeze an Andorian
They have Frozen The Andorion.
Captain (.....HOW ?? how cold dose it have to be to freeze one of them )
Oh, so its added in the middle of the playlist, sorry
Hey are you gonna do the current Measure of Morality missions?
It would appear that the Preservers mirror the all too common naivete of the Federation.
he only thing missing from the intro was the Spongebob announcer voice
I hope they put this mission back into console edition., For one reason only and it's the engines ... It's one of the coolest looking engines in the entire game... And the Riemann prototype shield.. that you can get for free... And together they don't look half for bad 😂
You gonna do the Dominion character story path next?
👍
😀
9:55 no reaction to the breen porting right in front of you?
What ground weapon are you using?
Why dont you name the episodes E30.1 E30.2 and so on?
What is the size of your screen?
1920 x 1080. Standard size, why?
Then how did you get your hud to cover so little of that space? My hud seems to cover about 1/3 of my screen
@@DracoVanReignyou can resize it. Just requires more keyboard pressing than the mouse use.
Did you say “Kirkfu”? What the f**k is that?
:-)
