It was simply a fun show the whole family could enjoy. Friday nights had millions of Americans glued to their TV sets to watch the Dukes and then it was Dallas and Falcon Crest for the grown ups. What was “racist” about it! NOTHING! We all enjoyed the show!
I dont like it when we invested our time and energy watching these Shows and then watch the actors do evrything they can to distance themselves from the characters.
A person should be judged by the work of his heart, head, and hands, and a work should be judged by how it came to be, and what it means in itself. I am exactly the demographic that should hate the show. Urban, LGBT, non-white American. But I love it, it is fun, it's funny, it's exciting, and actually speaks to universal principles of integrity, morality, Karma or consequences, and the subversive in me loves the fact that the Dukes don't take their ethics from laws, but from a higher ethical standard than man. The Dukes of Hazzard hits on all cylinders, it's a very good program. I'm glad John and Tom and the fans still stick with it.

You were my favorite of the Duke boys on the show, but you're an even more awesome person off camera than I imagined. My Aunt Lola used to tell me stories of when you guys filmed The Curse in my hometown Tellico Plains. (I'm 23, got into the show a little later than most..) She spoke of how polite and down to earth you were even in the middle of filming on a busy movie set, and how you took time to show her around. I got to meet James Best not long before He passed, and he signed my first season of DOH. And as for DOH? It's still my favorite childhood tv show, and even today it makes me proud of the people I've grown with and the culture I grew up in. So thank you John Schneider for standing up for it and keeping it alive after all these years.
Thankyou John! That little bit of history that you taught us is forever appreciated. Our world is in so much turmoil right now and shows like Hee Haw and The Andy Griffith Show and The Walton's and of course The Dukes Of Hazzard take us back to a simpler time when we could feel safe. Tom singing the song Wheels and John singing the song I've Been Around Enough To Know is true bliss. And the rare occasions when both John and Tom sing together is just magic. Again thankyou John for the history lesson and thankyou for the memories.

I now know that the first jump at Seney Hall was done in 'Lee 2' and I got to see THE General Lee jump! YOU know what I'm talking about. I saw you after production had left Covington when you came back in about '79 for some event and you were in an alleyway behind the square playing an acoustic guitar and singing. Hey john. I was wondering if you remember me. I was the one at Hazzard Fest in Bulls Gap that you said I look like a female Bo Duke and my best friend Justin is the one that did his Rosco impression to you. I am your biggest fan and when you called me “Beau Duke” that literally made my day. I have always looked up to you and I have always wanted to be an actor and singer just like you
Hey John, conversation is conversation...When a particular person, event, or place can take you back to an important touchstone in our lives, in this case a place that signified a huge change in your career that would have lifelong implications, that's just simply cool to hear and reminisce along with you. I remember the first time I saw a General Lee in person. It was at a Speed & Custom Car Show here in Toronto at the CNE Automotive building around 1980 and I remember crowding around the red velvet cordoned off General, snapping photos with my Instamatic Kodak camera and just marveling at that car like it was my hero or a real celebrity like yourself! I believe that Greg Evigan, yep B.J. from "BJ and the Bear" himself was at that same car show with his cabover and I managed to talk with him and get his new '45 record...still have it in my collection of 45s somewhere here. Those were magical years for me as a 10 year old...Thanks for being a part of that for me!!
This show was such a part of my childhood. I was 9 yrs old in 78 and this show was so awesome then and it's so cool to see my childhood hero talk about his past here.

Love to see the site where the farm was? That's awesome! Google maps doesn't let you get close to it! All you see is old barn across the road and fireplace chimneys where the house was! Thanks for the tour! It's awesome!
As soon as I saw the trees behind you in the first part of the video I knew where you were. The first five episodes of Dukes has a special feel to it because Georgia was such a nice filming location. I bet you have some great memories passing through the Covington area. Dukes of Hazzard best tv show ever. That's also the place where Cathy dropped her purse and Rosco bent over to pick it up and she gave him a boost with her foot, lol.
John kissed that wall with all the heart and love that me and my Army buddies did when we kissed the ground just after we exited the plane from our return back to the US from Iraq. In that moment, the gtavel and asphalt was a sight to behold and "tasted righteously delicious" if there ever could be such a thing!! God Bless you, John for sharing a special moment. America, if not the World, should be thankful that the 18 yr old you and Tom and the whole Dukes crews made TV history back then. I couldn't imagine what my childhood would have been without you all and how it helped shaped many an adult.
I wanted so bad to come and meet my childhood hero's in Bulls Gap. But didn't get to make it. Not even 20 mins from my house. John I love what you are doing with this channel. Please keep it up and hopefully one day I will get to shake you hand and thank you personally for being such a genuine careing human being. Safe travels. God bless

Awesome, thanks so much for sharing. I grew up watching the Dukes, every Friday night!
Loved watching the show with my family when I was a kid. Lots of good memories.
This is awesome! Today is my birthday and to see Bo Duke back at the real Boars Nest was a real birthday treat! Thank you for sharing this John!
John, you are a quality human being and this world is Blessed to have you in it.
Hey john. I was wondering if you remember me. I was the one at Hazzard Fest in Bulls Gap that you said I look like a female Bo Duke and my best friend Justin is the one that did his Rosco impression to you. I am your biggest fan and when you called me “Beau Duke” that literally made my day. I have always looked up to you and I have always wanted to be an actor and singer just like you
Don't give up, you may become an actor and singer one day.
I've always wanted to meet John. He seems like a nice guy.
God bless!
Aslan Monn I sing a little bit but I’m not good enough to be a singer
@@sierrafaithlee4985 It's alright. As long as you enjoy doing it, that's all that matters.
God bless you
@@sierrafaithlee4985 everyone is their own harshest critic. I bet you rock!
John loves bringing wisdom
You took a real good trip down memory lane John!!!!! Remembering is to live again.
Thanks for post John. It all comes back, fighting with my sister for control of our rabbit ear tv. I would not be denied watching your show. Lol.

You are so awesome.! thanks for sharing those memories. Takes me back to good memories of the show and of younger days .keep up the great work .!
We Miss You Bo Duke !!!
God bless
I can't believe how many vintage cars had that same horn blowing Dixie! And it was all right! Because we were riding in a "Convoy" all night! We had to bring in those slot machines for the Boss...🤯
Amazing history at its best love it keep it going 🇺🇸💪😁✌

Thank you for taking us along with you on these journeys of yours, John. May God Bless you, and keep you safe during your travels.
Such a great show! I’m so happy to have the whole series and the 2 movies on DVD. I like these videos that you share John! Sometimes I have to pop in a DVD to see what you talk about here (memory isn’t always so good) but this time I knew where you were and the scenes you talked about. Trying to catch up on your videos, as we were in a place where there’s no internet last week (yes they do exist where you least expect it!) I wish I could share all the pictures and videos with the beautiful fall colors with you! Thanks for sharing this! God bless and take care! 🙂

Mr. Schneider,
I am a retired police officer. The township were I worked there was a bar that had been converted into a church as well. It was a very troubling bar.
The Lord works in mysterious ways.
God bless you and your family.
