jen in hong kong + macau: avenue of stars (ft bruce lee), street food adventures, the venetian macau

Visiting Hong Kong after 5 years again felt so nostalgic. A lot of things stayed the same (eating lots of dan tats (egg tarts), egg waffles, curry fishballs, cha siu (roasted bbq pork), dim sum everyday, etc) yet changed. I was in a very different place in life 5 years ago (in college, working multiple internships in the city to get that $, dating, worrying about exams lol ) vs today (I've come so far - all glory to God). Some of my favorite spots in HK still remain but feel different, and some spots have gone out of business (perhaps moved to Canada due to the political instability). Yet, I still love HK and can't wait to go back very soon! I also visited Macau for a day trip - I think the last time I visited was well over a decade ago when I was still in high school. Everyday passed by so quickly - I stayed for a total of 8 nights, which was a short but sweet trip. I hope you enjoyed following me along in my hong kong + macau trip ....
