Characters are in a league of their own I’m sure but yes, appearance is a big deal anywhere in Disney. I did personally feel that it was slightly more “lax” when I worked at Disney Springs than when I worked in Animal Kingdom. I’ve heard the parks are a lot more strict (I can only vouch for one).
