Fun to watch this video and your observations. I prefer this boxy style from the 2nd gen. The mid-late 2010's saw a weird phase of a lot of SUVs (CR-V and Pilots too) being made into curvy minivan profiles with hidden exhaust tips (to look more eco friendly). Fast forward to early 2020s and now car manufacturers are going back to the boxy, angular styles and bringing back dual exhausts!
These second-generation Honda Pilot's are currently running strong, similar to the first-generation. These vehicles are great choices for a first vehicle, as a new or novice driver, because they are safe, reliable and they have a higher seating position. Anyway, can you do a POV test drive and review on a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country LXi minivan with the 3.8 L V6 engine and the four-speed automatic transmission, as well as a POV test drive and review on a 2008 Mitsubishi Galant sedan with the 2.4 L four-cylinder engine and the four-speed automatic transmission, please? It should be interesting for other used vehicular buyers to check out. Thank you very much.
That’s crazy u say that .. because I’m currently looking at this model pilot .. but in my 04 currently I literally just replaced all that you just said ! 😂
Man, I want one that drives well so bad but I've test driven 8 of them over 120k and every single one had vibrations in either seat/pedal/or steering wheel. The suspension design and 4wd shaft design in this vehicle is subpar for its weight and super finicky. There's a TSB calling for PCM update and driveshaft replacement, compliance bushings going out early, etc.
I think 90% of Pilots have that loose visor 😂 got a 2012 Pilot my family bought new with the loose visor (parent opened it one time in an awkward way and made it loose) and just got another 2012 Pilot with a loose visor, too
@@SamSaengsavang same it seems like too much of a hassle, I might take it on as a project though cause one of the Pilot’s got an issue with the rear AC system, which needs the center console to be disassembled to be fixed
@@ramennoodlz I currently drive a 2015 Pilot but it's the same generation. On both the 2011 and 2015, the front passenger heated seats weren't working. Do the front heated seats both work on yours?

Safe? This gen got a poor rating for the driver side IIHS small overlap test.
Disable the vcm, stay on top of fluids and replace timing belt/water pump, you're good to go for hundreds of thousands of miles.

My 2011 Pilot also had a loose visor LOL otherwise it was well maintained
@@SamSaengsavang haha, does your Pilot also have a broken sliding center console cover, both of our Pilots have a broken one 💀
@ramennoodlz yea! I didn't bother trying to replace it. The extra space was nice for stashing small items tho. 😆
